Seven Times Do Not Equal 2,520 Days
by DT inhow long is seven times?
it's important to note that the bible doesn't say.
jehovah's witnesses have calculated that it comes to 2,520 days.

Ex-Mormon couple that stayed together after one left
by RayPublisher ini thought this article and video was good about a man that left the lds/mormons, and then his wife reacted exactly the way that many asleep jw mates act, going through the same kind of disbelief, shock, feelings of betrayal, etc.. .
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=zr3jyfx1czg.
so many of us on here can relate- and also dream that our spouse will react as well as his eventually did.. .

"NEW LIGHT" FROM BROTHER WALDO D/O SANTA MARIA ,CALIFORNIA 1/22/2012 "HOW JEHOVAH IS LIKE BROTHERS ACCUSED OF BEING A CHILD MOLESTER!
by Bubblegum Apotheosis ini was shocked to hear how the slander against jehovah's name that we see in the world can be compared to a good man accused of being a child molester.
he went on to describe how terrible such an accusation would be, and how "friends" of the accused would know he's not capable of such an act and would rally to his defense.
at several points in the talk, he refers back to the child molester "example" and how eventually, despite the hideous slander heaped on a man in this situation (depicting jehovah in the bigger picture, we assume), that man's good reputation would be restored.

Early Civilizations and Bible Chronology...Part 2
by xelder inwas away from my normal computer and so my two posts to start the first thread didn't show.. however, thanks to all who picked up the topic and commented shadesofgrey, sizemik, lars, designs, otwo, jwfacts.
since i never commented on my own thread, i thought i should and thank everyone.. adam's claimed date of creation of c. 4000 bc was mentioned, however, the bible would have everyone coming from noah at c. 2650 bc.
american civilizations are said to date prior to the usual biblical date of the flood.

Lars,
I post the following in all sincerety.
I have sincerely tried to search for God for 50 years. I have "groped for him to really find him". I have done so from an intellectual search, and from simplicity. I have prayed to Jehovah, prayed to Jesus, asked him to take over my life, to be used in any way he chooses. I have asked from the dark, dreary, basement of emotional lows when I begged to not have to wake up and face the following day. GOD DOES NOT TALK TO ME. HE DOESN'T GIVE A RAT'S ASS. (emphasis not yelling)
You "have more direct contact with the Holy Spirit"? It is not my place to doubt you, I respect you. But I don't get it if you are right.
Either I have a horrible heart and God "saves whomever he chooses"-Romans
Or, God is partial, in spite of Peter's claim otherwise as he began to convert Gentiles.
I'm glad that you have a confident spiritual place to be. God loves the "smart" ones and the simple right? But, as in the caves discussed, even though science admits an error factor in their calculations. They are quick to point out errors and dispute them and admit a range of dates. As for me, I see much less honesty when discussing issues with religuos people. And ultimately, the throw in the "well God tells me" line. It doesn't help the discussion advance. It's the same as the blindfolded GB sitting around on Wednesday morning throwing darts at a doctrinal dartboard.
Again, this is just me. I do respect your views and thanks for the comments. You sound like a great friend.

Adam's claimed date of creation of c. 4000 BC was mentioned, however, the Bible would have everyone coming from Noah at c. 2650 BC. American civilizations are said to date prior to the usual Biblical date of the flood. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_pre-Columbian_cultures It seems quite unlikely that the America's would be settled in such a short time since the likely route seems to be through Alaska.
The following is an example of C14 being confirmed by calcifications that have grown over cave paintings in Chauvet Cave in France http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chauvet_Cave 20000 - 35000 years ago. Netflix has a great documentary about the cave.
In light of these (as well as many, many other) examples, I just can't take Bible chronology seriously. All life we know came from c 2650 after Noah's flood? Not to mention, how did Penguins get to Antarctica?
Thanks again in advance for all your comments, and for keeping it respectful.

I guess I am no more a girlfriend in dilemma
by DilemmaGF ini think my boyfriend just dumped for jw.
he is an inactive jw, he was the the one who started tp pursue the relationship and now he kind of shunning me.
i don't why, maybe because he sensed that i am trying to tell him a lot about the true jesus and because he felt like he can't convert me, but that's okay, i understand.

2/15 WT - WTS Controls by Fear, Confusion, Separating Friends & Family
by flipper inonce again in a wt study article entitled " imitate jesus' example of watchfulness " the wt society tries to control jw members through fear mongering, confusing them by inconsistent and contradictory wording, and emphasizing devotion to wt society " sacred service " over devotion to family and friends.. we all know the wt society has always said that " nobody knows the day and hour " of the alleged armageddon - yet out of the same mouth the wt society claims to know the " day " of the end close enough to have duped people with 1975 and put fear into jw's that the " end " is " imminent" .
notice these quotes from paragraph 4 in this article.
it states, " in brief, jesus wants us to remain watchful because of what we know and what we do not know.
