  What was your Bible Study conductor like?

  when you were studying the bible live forever, knoledge, or any other "study aid", what did you think of your bible study conductor?

  was he/she weird?

  did you continue to get along with them after you were baptized?

  I honestly have nothing bad to say about the book study conductors I had.

  I had 2 personal book study conductors, and both truly believe the stuff they taught. It was only later when the second book study conductor became an Elder did he become an ass. (I don't know what it is about the local Kingdom Hall that turns good men into ass-holes when they become Elders.)

  Regarding the group book study conductors, each had their strong points and weaknesses. As long as they stayed out of their "Elder mode" they were pretty good people.

  Just a question;

  If I remember correctly the Earth rotates at roughly 1000 miles per hour, so if the Earth was stopped from rotating for 1 day, wouldn't all creation be thrown to the East at 1000 miles per hour? (See Newton's laws for gravity/motion.)

  it's coming up to 90 years since 1914 and the visible,oops,invisible presence of christ's kingdom??

  Have you not heard this speculation? A man in the local congregation has it all figured out and has been writing the society for years with the new date. Now follow this logic:

  1975 was the end of 6,000 years occording to them. Now, King David was not made king over Israel until he was 30. Jesus was not given "Holy Spirit" until he was baptized at the age of 30. Adam was not given a wife until he became "of age" and that is according to Jewish tradition 30 years old. The curse in the Garden of Eden was made because the woman sinned first, the 6,000 years should be based on her creation, not Adam's. Now take 1975 and add 30 years, what do you get, 2005.

  Ding, ding, ding, we have a new winner! I think the only thing keeping them from anointing this date is many still remember what happened in 1975, if it happened again the society would dry up and go away.

  Yes, they know where I live. I have not moved in the last 7 years, so I am not hard to find. The only thing that has changed is my phone number. To answer the question of "marking," they have a local needs talk about becoming "spiritually weak" and they make sure to mention there are some who have fallen away or become "spiritually dead." As of 3 years ago, they don't mention names unless they have been reproved or disfellowshipped.

  Speaking of 3 years ago, has anything changed since August 2000? Any "new light" recently?

  reading thru this rutherford book, religion, it occurred to me how often the judge talks about the sins of other organizations but the crimes he self righteously accuses those other organizations of are actually the crimes his own organization is most guilty of.

  it must be some kind of subconscious transferral thing common to all totalitarians.

  just consider the message conveyed by substituting the term the organization in place of the word christendom in these quotes.

  how's the weekend going?

  mrs ozzie and i have been very busy with friends.

  had a drive in the countryside today and stopped at an english-style pub, replete with large beer garden where we had a great meal-- more like a feast, really; you know how generous the pub meals can be!

  This survey sounds like fun. I did the following.

  1. Got on well with the P.O....... for about a week. In reality, I never liked the son-of-a-b!*@h.

  2. Got to the meetings early!................. I am never late if I can't help it.

  3. Got to the meetings late!!!!................. Again, never was late.

  4. Always sat in the back row................ Always sat in the front 3 rows. It makes you look more spiritual.

  5. Closed my eyes in the meeting and thought of England!.... Sports, women, etc.

  6. Pretended I was weak............................... Only for service.

  7. Hell, I was weak!...................................... Too true.

  8. Never got baptised................................... I wish that was true.

  9. Kept on moving from cong. to cong........... I did some of that. Mostly faked moving from cong. to cong. Wasn't that also a song? From cong. to cong from town to town. Jehovah's people move. To keep away from nozy women, those with truth must go.

  10. I didn't!!!................................................ Got harder to fake it after reading this site for the first time.

  When it rains, it pours..

  ever since my dad passed on, i've been barraged by relatives telling me to "come back to jehoover.

  " i was over at my grandmother's house for a family dinner and they were barraging me again.

  it got so annoying that i decided to do what i always do whenever i'm stressed or bored, which is do artwork, especially caligraphy.

  I'm also glad you thought better about the crowbar. Perhaps you could ease off of the blasphemy and things won't be so rough? Although it is a tired saying, "you can attract more flies with honey than vinegar." I would hesitate to piss off your family, you never know when you might need them.
