I would be loving and kind and welcome them to MY world. Let them see by my reaction that they were lied to all along.

If the Watchtower truly collapsed, how would you deal with your JW relatives?
by nicolaou inimagine the best case scenario.
the watchtower society implodes from within even making final printed admissions that it is voluntarily dismantling it's mission and legally dissolving the corporations.
oh happy day!

In your own words ... what is the truth?
by sacolton inin one sentence, can you define what the real "truth" is?
not the watchtower version (we all know what that is)..

We know the truth about some things, but dont know the truth in regard to most things. Our knowledge is still small.

To Ex-JWs: Do You Regret Learning it Was a Lie?
by leavingwt inthis question was inspired by a question on another thread.
to the ex-jw community here,.
do any of you regret learning that wt is not god's organization?

NO AND ABSOLUTELY NO! Ignorance is not bliss, I prefer to know the truth. If I had remained in ignorance I would have wasted my life being a slave to a lie. NO NO NO, I would not want that

What I dont understand is how someone can join this forum without realising what it is. Just flicking through a couple of the active topics and it is pretty clear. I mean, who clicks on a site without reading and thinks 'oh great I am going to join this forum'? I dont get it.

Tell her she is expecting a bit too much from you so you are going to find someone else who isnt so demanding of your time!

How do active JW's spend their Christmas? What do they feel?
by dgp inhello to all.
maybe this is a stupid question, since jw's don't celebrate christmas, but, as jw's, how did you spend your christmas?
what did you feel when everyone else was celebrating?

Yes sacolton I agree - how two faced. My hubby came home from work yesterday with bottles of wine and whiskey and a£100 bonus. I asked him why he thought it ok to accept Christmas gifts when we couldnt celebrate Christmas. He said they werent Christmas gifts, but end of year gifts. Yeah well me and my kids are opening some 'end of year gifts' tomorrow as it happens!

but there are still some things i would have trouble with doing because of the remains of my christian conscience.. anything you guys still haven't brought yourself to do yet?.

Tell your mother I am an apostate LOL
Go in a church to a service other than a funeral or wedding. Having had Babylon the Great thrown down my throat for the last few years, it just seems the ultimate act of rebellion.
Celebrating Christmas, birthdays and other occasions feels easy. Watching 'inappropriate' films isnt so bad - I probably did a lot of that as a witness. but the church thing, well, it will probably be one of the last things I do as I shake off the shackles of the wt.
