san diego area xjw's, please help.
the producers of wtcomments and cult of the publishing cult (on youtube) are working on some groundbreaking approaches to exposing the destructive lies and policies of the wtbts.
this is the weekend of the 2010 dc of jws in san diego and we really need some warm bodies to assist with our latest video project.
Bump.

don't know what to say...most jw's i asked looked down and said in a bit silent voice that they don't know or that it doesn't depend on them.another jw said that if "i die in armageddon so be it.
"what do you believe?.
Black Sheep is right. If we could roll back time to when you were born, we could then hand you off to the following adoptive parents:
Saudia Arabia: You would then believe in Allah. You would have over 1 billion religious brothers around you in the world.
Japan: You would likely be a shintoist. (I believe this is correct)
India: Whatever their religion is.
Mexico: You would likely be a catholic
All of your beliefs were learned behavior. In any of these places, you would believe just as strongly whatever your parents and the community around you taught.

i've been out 15 yrs and never attended again.
anyone been out a long time and for whatever reason went to a meeting or convention?
what was it like to you then?
It is tempting, but I don't see EVER going back for any reason. 25 years was more than adequate, I can remember it clearly enough.

day number 2 is done.. there was an audio drama, sure, it adds some excitement, hey, its different.. final talk "stay close to jehovah, as jeremiah did" ended with the release of the book ... god's word for us through jeremiah ... not a verse by verse consideration of prophecy, rather, what we can learn from jeremiah's life as a prophet, considers information from jeremiah and lamentations.
(of course informed readers of this site knew of this release already.).
noticibly missing ... jesus christ ... to me it was painfully obvious.. one talk i think was numbing our mind to accept the generation bomb tomorrow.. i couldn't help but realize that throughout the convention so far, the vast majority of scriptural references are from old testament (yes, it was hard not to say hebrew scriptures, so i just did).. i didn't realize it so much in the past, but it seems like jehovah's witnesses are trying to accomplish what the nation of israel couldn't, follow laws.
I am anxious for the recordings, especially of the one tomorrow where the new generation is unveiled. I'm gonna miss my DC for the first time in my life next weekend, so this will be my only chance to hear about the new generation.

active unbaptised publisher here.you?
(though i already know the answer for some people).
I started fading in December. I haven't been to meetings in several months now.
Every day that passes feels better and better!

i cannot for the life of me understand why jehovah's witnesses don't see right through the b.s.
regarding their overlapping generation being equal to one generation.
also, i am a bit perplexed at how little certain jehovah's witnesses know their own doctrine.. take my wife, for instance:.
Why can't they see it = Mind Control
Only one belief matters, as Outlaw says: Follow the WTBTS, because God appointed them.
It's just that simple.

The real question in my opinion is "How can a person be sure that Armageddon is coming?"
i am on a second shift this weekend - long story - unusual for me.
i usually work days and so rarely get a chance to go to breakfast with my wife - especially alone, since we raise our grandkids.
today was an exception.
Great story! By the time that reaches the kingdumb hall, it will twist into a prophecy of how apostates are getting bolder and more fierce in the last days.
LOL

back in the early 80's i was dating a sister from the southern part of illinois, and i remember how many ladies were divorced.. fast forward to the current day,,,,,,,,.
i was trolling on facebook last night, and i hit the mother lode, one old friend (divorced) of mine has a son who still keeps in contact with most of these ladies that he grew up with.. and guess what ?.
most of them got married, had kids, and are now single.
I made a list a few months back of all the JW couples that I know personally that are divorced now. There are 26 couples on my list so far. Honestly, I don't think I know that many non-witness couples that have divorced. It's quite amazing.
