The evolution & creation dilemma? Its driving me mad

my mind has been twisting for a few months now.

i suppose i am trying to fill the void left by the faith ive lost.

There is nothing to get mad about it...It is simple...God use evolution to create universe and humans. SIMPLE AS THAT. That is the difference between the extreme Protestand sect's like WT, and the Orthodox Christianity....

You will be supprised to know that in the Orthodox Church we don't deal how God created mankind..besides the Bible is not a scientific Book, and even it has mistakes!!! How we are created it is God's bussiness...we are only dealing with the Salvation of the Soul, and the reconsiliation with Jesus. We let the scientist's to tell us how we get here,and indeed my friend we came through an evolution proccess..

Nothing wrong about it, since God guided it..

easter is coming soon and i am so excited!

i have not celebrated easter in over 17 years.

what a relief to be able to enjoy the worship of jesus and to be so grateful and thankful for his sacrafice.

I will and it will be in the Christian Orthodox way...With fasting, praying, attending to the Eucharist, Holy Communion, living the Passion of Christ...

I will try to go to the Holy Land and attend to the Reserrection service in the Temple of Jesus Grave, and be witness to the appearance of the Holy Light, that lights the candles of the Christians.

The miracle of the Holy Light it is a greatest events of the Christian Orthodox Church that is dating back to the 7th century A.D. and it is happening after the Bishop of Jerusalim enters the Holy Grave (that is sealed from the Israel police) and he announces that the Lord had ressurected from the dead...after that the Holy Light appears lights all the candles in the Church.

Yes I will celebrate the "easter" as you are saying or Passover as we Christian Orthodox know it. This 40 days we are living Jesus Passion something that I never had in the WT world, Because Christian faith It is all about Jesus and this faith and tradition was kept through the centuries by the Church

Turkey after Kemal Attatourk back in the 1920's became a "democratic"nation. But the Army is the guardian of the "democratic" state in Turkey. It is much better from other islamic countries, but lately there is a turn back to Islamic roots, with the Islamic party in power, and Islamist foundamentalists to have an increase.

But people hold their muslim fanatism, and there are many behind the scenes that they don't show outside. I have the unfortunate luck to have my country a 37% since 1974, of our land occupied by Turks. To see a democratic Turkey it will take at least decades and that is not so sure if they will change.

This is the result of the Turkey occupation of our land: 10.000 killed in 1974, 200,000 (in a population of 500,000)refugees in their own land, 1700 missing persons including small babies and children and Turkey does not say what happened to this people. Our Churches have been destroyed completely, our graveyards, and Turkey is trying to wipe out a 2000 years Christian History in Cyprus.

I hope the information you posted here is correct...and most of all hope they will put it into print...again they are changing colours like chameleons!!!
