COSTELLO: So if you're off the unemployment roles, that would count as less unemployment?
ABBOTT: Unemployment would go down. Absolutely!
COSTELLO: The unemployment just goes down because you don't look for work?
ABBOTT: Absolutely it goes down. That's how you get to 9%. Otherwise, it would be 16%. You don't want to read about 16% unemployment

"i don't believe that the marines involved would have ever used any type of symbol associated the nazi germany military criminal organization that committed mass atrocities in wwii," chapin said.

I don't see a problem with the Marines using the lightning bolt double S as part of their Scout Sniper unit symbol .
In Portland, OR after years of complaints, they finally got around to painting over a huge swastika symbol that advertised some product on the side of an old downtown building. It is an ancient Indian symbol and had been used long before the Nazis adopted it.

i had one in my congo that humiliated every other woman by her aura of "i'm sooo perfect and your not!
" her dinner parties were legendry and rivaled only by buckingham place.

Maybe off topic, but this made me recall the "progressive dinners" that several of the young couples in the cong. would organize. If I remember correctly the two or three we attended involved going to a starting home for cocktails then driving to a second home for dinner (and more cocktails) and to another home for dessert. This would put several vehicles of sloshed JW's on the road three or times of an evening.

There is a significant numberof JW's who know very well what they have gotten tangled up in. But it involves too much sacrifice to try and extricate themselves from it. Not to mention basic ego and pride. "Go along to get along" resonates better than "I will sacrifice everything in the name of my personal integrity". Who needs the ass ache?

do you know of or ever know of elders who do the very minimum to work so that they can get the maximum child allowance, food stamps, medicaid etc?.

If you just change the words around it helps to answer the question.
CO and DO and GB wives, wether living in luxurious Brooklyn penthouses with Manhatten views, free meals and housekeeping or a travel trailer parked behind a Kingdom Hall in North Dakota, it all evens out. As far as Gov't. assistance that's a whole different thing.

Neolithic Rock Art Near Cofty's House

we went to two sites both within 20 minutes drive of our house.
the first one is about 60 minutes walk up a hill the other about 2 minutes walk from where you can park the car.

Phallic symbolism is especially strange. Cultures all over the world seem to have decided on the erect penis with two orbs below as a symbol of procreation! Uncanny! There were no telephones or satellite communications back then! WTF?
And the symbols of big breasted women with bulbus buttocks representing fertility have shown up in centuries old figurines and cave drawings that are centuries old and in remote cultures that did not even have black berries.!(or dingleberries)
