  paragraph 1. it is not possible to understand the mosaic law without the writing of paul..that they are in valuable to christians yes, because jws still mainly base their beliefs on it, not the writings of inspired first century christians.. does 1 timothy 2:5 mention jesus' mediatorship being based on a "better covenant"?

  Photo ID Badges for Quick Builds

  hey guys, sorry i haven't been on here much lately.. i just thought i would drop by and let you know of something i received.. from when i was 12 until i was 25, i worked on quick builds.. i started out just helping out wherever they would put me - then joined an actual crew: attendants.

  i used to flag for forklifts.

  then i asked if i could learn how to be an electrician because the flagging was about as boring as watching grass grow.. i only worked on electric crew 1 year, back in 2006.. i just got an email from my attendant crew overseer saying that i need to submit a photo for my id badge so that i can go to quickbuilds.

  Yes, they started requiring photos. But the real reason behind obtaining them is because they compare the photos against the University, and College Calendar photos. If your picture matches up with someone at these Higher Learning Centres, you are marked, and can't participate at a quick build. But, you are still qualified to do KH cleaning.

  Question about 2 Tim. 3:16

  regarding 2 tim.

  3:16, "all scripture is inspired by god".....since the only scripture at the time this was written was the old testament (hebrew scriptures, if you prefer), would it make sense to reason that this scripture cannot be used by itself to support new testament writings?....that the scriptures referred to in this verse were the old testament?.

  as an apostle paul had authority, but to me it seems that some of the things paul wrote were related as "commands" to the congregations, whereas other things were only his suggestions or his perspective and that it was up to the individuals to decide for themselves.. your thoughts on this?.

  CRAZINESS!!! I'M BEING 'MARKED' FOR GOING TO COLLEGE!!!

  ohmygosh!!!

  one of my friends who is a ms told me today that the elders have 'marked' me because i'm a reg.pioneer and i've decided to go to college next semester???!

  he said he can't tell me anymore but to be careful---what the hell does 'mark' mean?

  I remember being a MS in 1975. and making this decision to go to college because I was now a family man. I received negative comments from Elders, and MS's. I never lost my MS position, because I kept my meeting attendance, and FS steady. Most will respond that way towards you because of the way they have been told to think about higher education. Imagine how the cong felt back in 1975. They were selling homes, and pioneering.

  Even though it was uncomfortable for me back then, I am sure glad of the decision I made. I gave my family, and me a good life, and served many years as an Elder. Marking people for going to College/University is a new strategy in the Society's agenda to wrestle this anti education thing.

  The Society is fighting an unfair, ugly fight, and are bullying you into backing away. Don't let them have this power over you. You are not doing anything wrong

  i just wanted to say first off thank you all for the warm welcome and kind words.

  despite what i've been told by the wbts, i have a hard time believing people in the 'world' are by default bad just because they're non-jws.

  so thanks for the kindness.

  I don't want to tell you what to do, and I do not want to judge you or your decision which you have the freedom to make.

  Some join the faith of JW's for different reasons, that seems justifiable in their own minds. That's not a bad thing.

  Just remember, In or Out, you are free. Don't allow yourself to be controlled. Understand your limitations, because some will try to raise your limitations and in an effort to please them it will only discourage you when you realize that you can't fullfill their expectations. This fear of God that you describe....That's not what or how I would describe my relationship with God. I see a different God that is forgiving, and understanding. This is what I get when I read the Bible. The publications of the the Soc seems paint a different picture of Jehovah. But it keeps changing in their explanations as well. I didn't want my post to be this long, but, I wish you well.

  Field Service was not for everyone. Honest, I did enjoy working in FS with some of my young friends. There were mornings that we played hooky, and got to watch cartoons. That Johnny Quest cartoon never was on Saturday morning when I was a kid. It usually appeared in the afternoon, after school time. I really enjoyed that one. I agree with, Toth. Hollywood is remaking shows i.e Tintin. Johnny Quest would be a great remake.

  I got to play with the kids in the neighborhood alot, so I wasn't deprived there.

  I just didn't like the constant routine,every saturday. It was overkill I thought.
