What I have learned from this thread is the Wt. Cult has a very deep affect on all of us. It causes us to say things that are very deep inside us. This is how bad mind control was or is on all of us. I look at this as a healing process for all of us. Clearing the air is always a good thing. As long as we all learn from it and not develope a prejudice against someone. Take this thread for what it should be more tools in our education about mind control wt. cult. Totally ADD

Nightmares when active JW
by MissConfused ini remember when i was active, i would constantly get nightmares regarding armageddon.. used to wake up so many times at night watch my window, pray hard and try to go to sleep.
now i wonder that this organization was really succcessful in making people scared to death about 'current system of things', but why would anyone do that?
why would anyone want to bring division in families, make hate speeches, scare people to death, etc?

If lyou are only interested in doctrine I would suggest you do a personal study on your own. To go back into a high control group for the sake of doctrine study in like a former prisoner who was in jail for many years going back to jail to see what it is really like. Yes their are good people in the Wt. cult but that does not make it right. It just means many are being deceived by a corporation. I feel the internet would be the tool that would work best for what you want. My 2 cents worth. Good luck in whatever you do. Totally ADD

had another conversation with my wife this morning
by Crazyguy inshe was getting already for service so i asked her "how do you do it?
" "how do you still go and do all this spiritual stuff now that you know that my research and letter to bethel shows that the jw religion denies us the messiah"?
she got all defensive and disagreed again with what i wrote to bethel and then i had to step in and tell her that its "its them that teaches that we don't have a mediator in christ and were not under the new covenant".

No I did not have to go through what you are going through. I was lucky on that account. It does amaze me how your wife will not trust you on this. After all I am sure you are doing this out of love and a deep concern for her. Yet it seems she just does not quite get it. Your facts you have given her may start her thinking even if she goes to the elders on it. I sure what they say to her may not ring true for her and she might start thinking more about what you said. My grandmother passed away at 4:55am

she lived a long life, 90 years, and battled alzheimer's for the last 5 years of her life.

if they stopped donating or buying this garbage the printing company would dry up in a matter of months.. the printing company recieves 9.6 billion of (not only tax free labor) but absolutely free labor each year based on a billion service hours.

Julia Orwell the pub. may not be paying for the maz. but the congregations on average send anywhere from $400 to $800 or more every month to the Wt. for literature. At the low end with 110,000 congregation that comes to $44,000,000 a month. And that is just literature donations they get. What was their expenses for last year they will show? If it is under $44,000,000 One month of donations pretty much covers it and that's on the low end. Totally ADD
