Necessary change; my distressing situation

my son wants to tell elders about me", then you know that i had an email from a board friend inadvertantly get into my family mail box, and was discovered by my jw son while visiting.

today my jw son told me that he had seen an email in our family account written to me from an exjw.
it contained very little, but enough to let him know that i was in contact with outsiders about my doubts and feelings.

Sat. Dist. Conv.--Cracking the whip!
by LostMyReligion ini have put in my final day at this year's test of posterior endurance---saturday at the district convention, 2001. i took quite a few notes today, because some had specifically asked about saturday's program.
i hope all will be suitably edified by them.
do not just listen to bits and pieces of the program, but to the whole thing.

they are hard workers, hospitable, caring, generous, suffer with you through hardship, kind, compassionate, and as loyal to the organization as any family could be.

TAKING OUR LIVES BACK - #3

human feelings and emotions we have for one another are so very basic to our nature, our humanity, our souls, cutting to the marrow of our bones, that to bound, stifle, entrap, and regulate them is not only most difficult, but when achieved, make us into mind-numbed robots.
we may not see it when it happens, or understand it, or believe it, but as jehovahs witnesses our emotions were very much controlled, and our reactions became mechanical, and could only be expressed as we were sure that the organization approved.. examples: in the early 1980s the society published an article in the watchtower magazine that put-down our feelings of nostalgia and sentimentalism.

Fear and paranoia plague me again
by LostMyReligion ini really like being here on this board.
i come to read it every day, and now i have the pleasure of reading others responses to my posts and commenting on theirs.
but, i am beginning to feel a resurrgence on that fear and paranoia that kept me from speaking up before.. after posting my notes on the convention, i began to feel a little guilty for ridiculing them when i know my son belives (as a result of my teaching) so strongly, and when i know so many good sincere friends at the kh who also believe so.

i thought i would share these upbuilding theocratic point with my new friends, along with my thoughts as i was listening to the program.
1st instruction of the day: sing loudly and listen to the prayer!
