There is no denying the existence of the cross and crown on the sides of the pyramid in PA with the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society written ALL OVER IT...mere feet from Russells Grave with Laodicean Messenger on its side...all FEET from Mason Headquarters. Im sure if the Society had their way they would desecrate that gravesite..I wouldnt be at all surprised if someone was hired to do just that some day to destroy their sordid past. Anyone who is disfellowshipped for enquiring is obviously a threat to them.

i believe it was in the in search of christian freedom book, which someone borrowed from me and didnt return.
i need to show it to some unbelievers...or rather...dis believers :) remember now...when christ came back in 1918 and judged bethel as his own ...they were celebrating christmas and birthdays!

also, isocf (ray franz) on pgs 117-120 discusses this also - detailing the right of the borg to disfellowship its members.. from alan's post it appears that if you were a minor and baptized before 1985, you could legally state that you did not vow loyalty to the organization, and could rightly reject a jc's attempts to disassociate or disfellowship you.
is this correct?.

The witnesses believed in the Jewish law that a person couldnt serve in the temple until they were 30! And that included Jesus who had, shall we say, some insight into things. He still had to wait. So how in the world can they justify that someone who is a minor, who has been repeatedly told their whole life that all other religions are Satanic, can make an INFORMED decision regarding the REST of their lives by getting baptized? In essense, because they dont SIGN anything, a verbal agreement in front of thousands of onlookers? They cant justify anybody under the age of 18 signing a contract. And they cant quote the bible as a source for that either.

DA'd myself today
by Pierced Angel inwell, i did it.. it's official and i'm relieved.. the elders wanted to try talking to me once again, but after awhile it was obvious that they were only interested in changing my thoughts not answering any questions.
so, i just calmly asked if i could disassociate myself.
they acted stunned and they got tears in their eyes, but i told them that i had already grieved and was ready to move on with life.

fading away quietly
by DIM inmy wife and i are moving 3000 miles away so that we can fade away as jehovah's witnesses.
i am looking for suggestions as to what i should do about our publisher record cards (keep them in pa?, get them forwarded to seattle?
) so that we can start our lives on the west coast with a fresh start and so we'll just be left alone...any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Dont give anyone your address. NOBODY. Tell the elders you will be staying with relatives/friends until you find a place and will then inform then where you want your cards forwarded when you find a congregation.
You cant fade if you tell everyone where you are going :)

So...the Society is claiming they "forgot" to read the fine print when a Governing Body member, who supposedly represents GOD himself, put his Brother John Hancock on that UN document? They "didnt know" about all those things they were supposed to PROMISE to do when they signed? These ONES who tout "ACCURATE KNOWLEDGE" to the sheep until it leaked out of our ears are claiming IGNORANCE?? Are they next going to say that the Disgusting Thing TRICKED them into getting that library card? LURED them with talk of peace and security into signing and then sprang Rules and Regs on them against their will? LOLOLOL! This just gets better and better.
PS Berean..I did know it was sarcastic...but just because WE do doesnt mean those who meander in her do :)

All I wanted to do was have lunch with my employer to discuss my job (who also happens to be a disfellowshipped person)and I got disfellowshipped for it! Hey! I was raped! and just because he had my mouth covered and I couldnt scream STOP! I was disfellowshipped for it! And Hey! All I wanted to do was alternate service and not JAIL TIME and I got disfellowshipped for it! And HEY! All I wanted to do was give to the poor as Jesus COMMANDED I do as a Christian and because I gave to the Red Cross I was disfellowshipped for it! And Hey! All I wanted to do was get in the good graces of HITLER like the SOCIETY DID and bad mouth the JEWS like the SOCIETY DID but I GOT DISFELLOWSHIPPED FOR IT!
So what you are saying is...there is ONE STANDARD FOR THE SOCIETY AND ANOTHER FOR ITS FOLLOWERS! Yes..so thankful there is a FDSC to clarify all this and to set SUCH a gleaming example of practicing what they PREACH.

They have been back and forth on the ressurection of Soddom and Gomorrah like what 8 times? They said that since Soddom was destroyed that that was one of the periods of DIRECT judgement by God, like the flood was and that there is NO ressurection from that judgement which would be final. Then suddenly they decide God changed his mind about Soddom and WOULD ressurect them. God is fickle or what? My last understanding about the FATE of disfellowshipped ones or those who were INACTIVE for that matter, would be that if they died in an UNAPPROVED STATE as DFing is, they would NOT be ressurected. That having once BEEN in the troof, if they left for whatever reason, that was a direct violation against Gods spirit and was unforgiveable.
If they have somehow changed this to DFing ones BEING eligible for ressurection, heck, we can all rest easy who have been DFd for the new system isnt coming in OUR life time and death is a done deal.
I look at it this way, if indeed a day is as a thousand years to Jehovah, then there have only been two days since Jesus said the end was coming. Why would God only give us two days to get our act together?
