Hey some of the greatest folks in the bible got pissed at god. Moses, Abel, Peter, Jonah....and he loved them nonetheless.
:)
i was always taught as a little child that to be mad at jehovah and jesus was like commiting blaspemy.
so i held all my anger up until now that i am out of the wts and out of christianity(churches) and i am just furious at jehovah and jesus.
i think they play many games with people that worship them.

john 10:16.
16and i have other sheep, which are not of this fold; those also i must bring, and they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock, one shepherd.. although the "other sheep" don't partake and don't have jesus as mediator, should they still attend the memorial?
This always pissed me off...in my opinion the OTHER SHEEP were the gentiles and the Samaritans and anybody else who wasnt a JEW.
Post Jesus death...anybody who becomes a Christian should be part of the FLOCK he was referring to. No PARTS of flocks no TWO become ONE crap....its all one big ball of wax once a person in their heart becomes a Christian. They should ALL BE ABLE TO PARTAKE!!
uuuugggggggg
What point is made when some partake and the rest dont except that SOME are more EQUAL THAN OTHERS in that Borg???

I dont see anywhere in here where it says that "The Christ" includes MANY ENTITIES...seems to be singular to me. So if they are saying The Christ is the annointed...they got some splainin to do Lucy.

Christ
anointed, the Greek translation of the Hebrew word rendered "Messiah" (q.v.), the official title of our Lord, occurring five hundred and fourteen times in the New Testament. It denotes that he was anointed or consecrated to his great redemptive work as Prophet, Priest, and King of his people. He is Jesus the Christ (Acts 17:3; 18:5; Matt. 22:42), the Anointed One. He is thus spoken of by Isaiah (61:1), and by Daniel (9:24-26), who styles him "Messiah the Prince." The Messiah is the same person as "the seed of the woman" (Gen. 3:15), "the seed of Abraham" (Gen. 22:18), the "Prophet like unto Moses" (Deut. 18:15), "the priest after the order of Melchizedek" (Ps. 110:4), "the rod out of the stem of Jesse" (Isa. 11:1, 10), the "Immanuel," the virgin's son (Isa. 7:14), "the branch of Jehovah" (Isa. 4:2), and "the messenger of the covenant" (Mal. 3:1). This is he "of whom Moses in the law and the prophets did write." The Old Testament Scripture is full of prophetic declarations regarding the Great Deliverer and the work he was to accomplish. Jesus the Christ is Jesus the Great Deliverer, the Anointed One, the Saviour of men. This name denotes that Jesus was divinely appointed, commissioned, and accredited as the Saviour of men (Heb. 5:4; Isa. 11:2-4; 49:6; John 5:37; Acts 2:22). To believe that "Jesus is the Christ" is to believe that he is the Anointed, the Messiah of the prophets, the Saviour sent of God, that he was, in a word, what he claimed to be. This is to believe the gospel, by the faith of which alone men can be brought unto God. That Jesus is the Christ is the testimony of God, and the faith of this constitutes a Christian (1 Cor. 12:3; 1 John 5:1).

They are only using "Christ" in the title to bait and switch so people THINK they are going to a Christian gathering. Little do the unsuspecting know. Its like they started calling their halls Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Christian Witnesses because people had no idea JWs were Christians at ALL. I think when they re-did the Leaky Teepee in West Palm Beach that they named it "Christian Convention Center" or some such trash.
Its anothing but a ploy. Sad that they are so UNINVITING that they have to resort to deceit.
LD
real shock i know that a jw would do that.
i found out today that my mom took my son to the kh behind my back when she was in town visiting.
he's just a little baby so he will have no memories of it.
Ryan - thanks for coming in and listening. It gives you a better view of what your baby's mom is going through and makes her look less over the top when you can SEE the level of panic and horrible conditions which exist in this cult and which NONE OF US want our children to endure if we have a say so in it. The JWs are one directional...they respond to the "GONG" and go to the mountain to be sacrificed without thought where it comes to what the Watchtower Society demands that they do. The grandparents are NOT the spiritual caretakers of children. The PARENTS are and JWs think that they can literally come and KIDNAP kids and keep them away from opposers in their lives even if the opposers are the parents of the child. They have been known to have sneak bible studies with kids against their parents wishes. They have been known to take kids and KEEP THEM HIDDEN to make JWs out of them. They have been known to take the children of JWs when the other spouse is an EX or OPPOSED from school or from bus stops or straight out of their homes and take them across state lines and hide them like an underground operation.
I am NOT making this up.
The fear is real. Im not saying her mom is gonna take the child but if she is so outragious that she will deliberately take the child smack in the face of the mother saying flat out NO!! Then what else is she capable of??? It's a REAL fear!
Let me tell you what the JWs have done to my own family: My mother in law was a JW for many years before I met my husband in 84. We married both of us JWs in 87. I found out it was all a lie and disassociated, quit, and the punishment for that was that my own mother in law, my sister in law and her husband and kids and everyone I had known as a JW for 13 years cut me OFF and are not allowed to speak to me. My husband can only because we live together but if we divorced, he too would be forced to shun me except for emergency matters concerning our children.
Then my mother in law found out it was a lie and disassociated in 2005. Now her OWN CHILDREN shun her and she is no longer allowed to see 5 of her grandchildren. She can see mine...Ive kept them out of the kingdom hall under penalty of MURDER if my husband ever tried to take them or indoctrinate them and it has been a battle for 10 years now.
Now...my OTHER brother in law who was never a JW decided he hates the JWs so much that he is going to SHUN THE SHUNNERS and has cut off my husband and their sister and her husband and five kids from HIS life because they shun their MOTHER. And he wont speak to my mother in laws second husband who is a JW elder because he sides with the JW children AGAINST his wife, their mother.
We have no family. We have no get togethers. We have nothing. And in case you didnt know it the JWs dont do birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Fourth of July, New Years....Thanksgiving NOTHING and they HATE all non JWs and that includes YOU my friend. If you arent a JW you are under Satan. Period end of discussion. No grey area, no compromise. She tolerates you only because there is a grandchild involved other wise she would have ZERO to do with you and thats a fact.
I read where you said the child would never see the inside of a KH again...thats a start. Now grandma needs to understand that trying to indoctrinate the child HERSELF is not acceptable either. All it takes is for grandma to say that mommy and daddy are going to be KILLED BY GOD and the birds are going to EAT THEIR EYES OUT if they dont become Jehovahs Witnesses.....he will NEVER forget that. Not ever.
Please...please...please...know that this is a DESTRUCTIVE HATEFUL CULT and it will eat anyone who crosses it. It is no better than the Ku Klux Klan and treats people with as much respect as the Nazi's did the Jews. You can kill a person without ever touching them.

date : 20.03.07. foster mother eunice spry has been found guilty of subjecting children in her care to two decades of horrific abuse.. the 62-year-old, from tewkesbury, beat them, fed them rat droppings, stopped them sleeping and rubbed their faces with sandpaper.
she thrust sticks down their throats when they misbehaved and made them eat dog food.. one daughter was forced to use a wheelchair for four years even though she was perfectly able to walk.. doctors, teachers and neighbours raised constant concerns about spry's treatment of the children but nothing was ever done by social services.. the catalogue of abuse only came to light when one of the children went to the jehovah's witness elders at the church the family attended.. spry, from tewkesbury, was found guilty of 26 charges of cruelty after a three week trial at bristol crown court.
I have to stand by what the jury has decided.
It is an interesting fact that the woman who is now 21, who says she was made to stay in a wheelchair, is now a baptised JW.
At Bristol Assembly Hall in November 2004 she said she was shortly going to be assessed for a new wheelchair in Oxford.
Eunice Spry was not there to make her stay in it, she struggled with getting around for the Assembly when she had NO need. WHY?
The other children are not JW's.
Fok...how long was the above woman abused? Its been proven that people who have been abused and or abducted dont try to escape because of what the abuser has done to them mentally over a long period of time. How "normal" could this poor soul be after living with that monster?
I swear as I breathe, I never met wackier wackos than the people who became Jehovahs Witnesses. All the studies I had or sat in on, were with people who were ALL a taco short of a combination plate and they loved being at the Hall because we all just sat on our tongues and treated them like they were "normal". Its a sick arrangement.
i am so grateful to have a place where my experiences being treated like one of the walking dead can be understood and empathized with.. i was opening my mail last night and there was a bill from local hospital.
i opened it a bit confused because i have not been in a hospital in 2 years.
it was a detailed bill for my stepson.
I wonder what he told your step son? That you didnt care about him? Ugh...HATE this religion!! Perhaps the step son will be the voice of reason in all this if you do write to him and tell him that no matter what differences his dad and you have...you still and always will love him and hope that he takes it upon himself to contact you in the future if anything happens to him ("or his dad" you might to add for CYA purposes :)
Girl....we KNOW how frustrating this is. God how we know!

when i came to this board, i thought that it was for encouragement amoung people who had been treated badly by the wtbts, i did not understand that people were going to come here and bash god, his son and the bible.
i could understand some embitterment over religion but some of you people are down right insulting.
not to mention the fact that i have tried to contact others on the board and have had my messages ignored.. .
This board is a very very diversified group of people. The thing we have in common is where we came from. Like a high school graduating class, that time in the auditorium where they are all seated together is the last time they will ever all be together like that again. And they all go out into life AND DO DIFFERENT THINGS. Those differences dont make them evil do they? This isnt a "religious" discussion group so if what you want is religiosity and upbeat happy happy joy joy posts all the time, that is, to say the least...totally unrealistic and so in that case, perhaps you should find one that more suits you.
But the differences are what makes this board special to me and special to many of us because we dont bullshit around and tell each other what we THINK they want to hear. And that honesty is refreshing. If your skin is too thin to take some good hearty discussions, warts and all...then bye bye.
But we do hope you stick around and duke it out with us :)
my wife 'rowan' was born and raised a jw, her father being an elder -a very gentle loving person, but an elder.. some years ago, she was betrayed by a close friend, subjected to a jc and was disfellowshiped & shunned.
the proceeding was completely void of mercy and love, it was much like a violation, a rape.
finding herself df'd was of course terrifying, but the most disapointing outcome was that her father sided with the elders.. eventually she discovered through select books, articles and this board about the fear-driven mind control ways of her religion.
I have never been but if you find a good therapist who is familiar with the cult mindset to work her OUT of the old mindset and INTO a new one where her life is her own now...it might help.
Its wonderful that she has such an understanding hubby!!
hugs to you both
i don't give a bit about the jw's i am now feeling totally free from them.
i have read a lot about the bs and the money grubbing ways of the wts.
thanks to all of you and the links i have learned of.. my kids are now foreign to me as they are totally immersed in the lie.
Congratulations honey. We were getting worried about you. Please remember that your kids still love you and if given the opportunity or the choice, they WOULDNT be doing this to you :) Its not them its the BORG we need to direct our hatred to.
hugs, Loves
