If any of US did what celebrity JWs do we would have had our asses handed to us and been DFd in a nano second. The ever present double standard for celebrity JWs always makes me sick.

I had a newborn and used him as an excuse, then winter as an excuse, then just not feeling well...then just not going. My husband freaked out...cried that I wouldnt be with him in paradise. I said, then I guess we lie to people when we tell them we dont know who will be in paradise because only Jehovah knows what is in a persons heart...and you have already condemned me? But you LEFT Jehovah! he would counter. I said...No...I havent left Jehovah, Ive left a building full of hypocrites who claim to follow Him. And who are YOU to tell me what Jehovah thinks or what I feel?

I have to think that with all the WARNINGS they consistently and persistently put out about apostates and opposers and staying away from them and staying away from the internet and staying away from colleges and staying away from even your own KIDS if they arent baptized....THAT they are VERY afraid. If all things were good and stable and they had the truth and God was helping and supporting them...they would NOT have to declare war THEMSELVES on us. Wouldnt God be increasing them? Wouldnt God be supporint his Chosen Ones? Wouldnt there be a consistent increase in their numbers and baptisms? We see NONE of that.
The reality is...God is not supportive of anything as hateful and devisive as this cult is and they are fighting an uphill battle staving off the inevitable exodus. They are panicking...."PAY NO ATTENTION TO THAT MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN!! I IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII AM THE GREAT AND POWERFUL OZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!"

Oh thank GOD Obama now has 28 year old information from a religious dooms day cult to help him solve todays economic crisis!! That JW single handedly staved off the NEXT DEPRESSION!
And...he single handedly delayed the great Tribulation and Armageddon coming too. So he should be stoned.

When I thinking about DAing but hadnt yet, my best JW friend revealed to me that she was having an affair with a married elder. SHE was worried about ME shunning HER if anything happened to her! How ironic...I assured her even then that nothing would stand in my way of being her friend and supporting her. Even though I wasnt wild about the whole affair thing, I understood how that happened as her husband was very mentally cruel to her and basically ignored her for the 11 years they had been married at that point. So she was taken by this very caring and "concerned" elder. During this affair she had gotten pregnant and miscarried...and when I went to comfort her, before I knew about the affair, there on the coffee table was this GINORMOUS flower arrangement. It was NOT from her husband...it was from the ELDER. She said her husband was hardly speaking to her and hadnt even come to see her in the hospital. After I found out about the affair, I began to wonder WHO was the father of that baby and IF she had miscarried at all or if that is what she was telling "the friends" happened...because she knew if she had that baby the gig would be up as her very dark curly haired Italian husband wasnt the dad and that would be immediately apparent. I never found out the truth.
So...when I was about to DA and their affair came out, and neither one of them was DFd but rather they were THREATENED that if they ever saw each other again they both WOULD be DFd...the elder continued to call me to contact HER and give her messages for him and stuff because he said she was suicidal And she said to me she didnt know how she could live now without the love of her life and WITH her hateful husband and all his now hateful family....I continued to support her. She was first and foremost my friend and I loved her.
But a week or two later I DAd and I reiterated that I would always be there for her and hoped she would be there for me...and I got a letter from her saying that she could no longer contact me "because I was a threat to her spirituality and she didnt want any undo influences in her life that might turn her away from Jehovah"
Ok.... is that F#&^%ed up or what?

Every JW should be asked...
by Honesty inthe following 2 questions when they arrive at your door with the watchtower society's 'good news' and their jesus (the prehuman angel michael, the human jesus and a resurrected spirit creature [6/15/06 watchtower page 30]) who is 3 persons in one:.
the first question is, if you truly abstain from blood, how can you belong to a religion that allows parts of blood?.
the second question is, would you donate blood so that the fractions allowed by the watchtower society could save the life of one of your jehovah's witness brothers or sisters?.

Renaia is SO adamant about the bible being followed regarding blood...WHERE is the scripture that says that they can ingest or swallow or inhale or whatever PARTS of blood? Where where where where?????
Where does it give them permission to even GIVE permission to take parts of blood? To determine FOR THEMSELVES which parts are ok to take and which parts are NOT ok to take?
Again with the bullshit excuses for bullshit for which there is NO excuse...and which kills thousands of innocents.

I finally said it...It's time for us to get divorce
by kzjw ini asked my wife over the weekend for a divorce...1st let me say that this sight gives support for those affected by the borg - ex-jw's, ubm's etc...but it also consumes some of us.
of this i am guilty.
i have developed such a disdain for the wtbs that i can no longer have a conversation with my wife without attacking her religion.

I was rabid as well...I felt violated, foolish, angy, deceived...you name it and I RAILED agains the WTS and everybody in it! At that point, my JW husband and I had been married 10 years and had three children. We had some seriously horrible fights about the WTS. Accusations flew both ways and he maintained his superiority to me because "you left Jehovah"...and we argued over the kids going to the hall and people there telling them their mommy was going to be killed by Jehovah at Armageddon because she was now with Satan.
Eventually there became a wall between us that we avoided discussing. Avoided aluding too....but it was there. in 2002 we damn near came to blows over him wanting to take the kids to the hall and them NOT wanting to go...just because he COULD. He himself didnt go to the meetings. He ddnt study. He did read anything....he didnt give a shit about the religion but was determined to hurt ME by taking my kids to the hall to make himself look better.
I stood OVER them...literally and said if he tried to take them I would break his arm. And I meant it. He never tried again. And he has been the hall now whcih is right behind us....maybe 10 times in 9 years. But the kids are out of it entirely. He raises his holier than thou head on holidays despite being totally not active at all. Zero time in the ministry. But he will huff and stick his nose up at the holidays while he is playing poker on line. ("Its not gambling if you arent using real money!")
But we stayed married. Im not sure that dealing with this to preserve the marriage was worth it. If we hadnt had kids it wouldnt have been an issue I would have left.
Think about where you want to be five years from now.

either physically, emotionally or mentally?.
most jws i knew had some unexplainable ailment or 2. and a number suffered from depression!!

It's the ultimate Catch 22...if you are depressed, then Jehovah has left you and apparently you have left HIM and arent doing what is required of you. If you do what is required of you and are still depressed, then you arent doing enough and need to do more. So having done all that and still not felt better, you get even more depressed and the elders tell you you are a spiritual black hole where Jehovahs light cant shine because you are not joyful in His service and while feeding at his spiritual banquets. And then your friends start to treat you like a spiritual leper...and your depression increases. And you cant go see a professional about it because you brought this on yourself and the WT wont allow it...so your depression deepens. And you cant commit suicide or you wont be in the New System and none of those homeopathic remedies do anything but give you diarhea....
And virtually EVERY study I went on as a Jw was with a 1) mentally unstable person 2) a lonely person who only wanted company 3) a single mother who needed help which we gave as long as she studied 4) people on the bottom peg already that would believe anything you said because no one else wanted them any more.
Free thinking, logical, smart and stable individuals were NOT attracted to being a Jehovahs Witness.
