Not Fair

no, life isnt fair.

there are no answers.

there are unwanted babies being aborted, or given up for adoption while at the same time there are families who are unable to have children of their own.

Im so sorry to hear about your moms illness. I still believe some day we will come up for a cure to these horrible diseases. In the meantime, her attitude will make all the difference. Even if the tea doesnt clinically do anything to cause remission, her believing it will, will help her extend her life. I cannot imagine having to face my own death. I dont know what is worse, dying suddenly and not being able to say goodbye or watching someone dye over a long time...neither option is good. Im 48 years old and I still have a 7 year old, so I have to stick around a long long time yet.

I saw my medical records the other day....

.....and inside was the letter i sent to my doctor a few months ago, asking for my health care advance directive to be removed, as i no longer shared the beliefs of jws.

attached was a note stating that my letter had been acted upon.. what really caught my attention though was what was on the front cover, above my name were the words'jehovah's witness' crossed out.. a funny feeling, then release.

I had surgery in June...major surgery...and on my Living Will I emphasized the words "My husband is a Jehovahs Witness and may try to deny me blood if needed. I AM NOT A JEHOVAHS WITNESS AND IF BLOOD IS REQUIRED TO SAVE MY LIFE..THEN USE IT!" He had to sign it, he saw that, hesitated, then signed it very slowly. Also, on all of my childrens charts at their doctors office, I have added that the FATHER is not to be the decision maker if an emergency occurs with any of my children regarding the need for blood, that their MOTHER is to be sought out and in my absence, their AUNT (my husbands neveradub sister who is vehemently opposed) is to be contacted. You gotta do this stuff...I asked my husband recently what he would do if one of our kids needed blood in an emergency...he didnt answer quick enough. Then he said he "didnt know because it had never happened to him" I said "THAT is all the answer I need. If you are indecisive, that means you considered NOT giving it to them, and so help me God, if you allow one of our children to die because of this FALSE stand...I will hunt you down like a dog and kill you."

Pissed off the EX!!!

ok. this was too great to keep to myself.. scenario: divorced 7 years, i have custody of 3 boys, left borg and ex at the same time.

ex still a dub....stupid, high school drop out....still no girlfriend, new wife, nothing.

still living in the past.

The Girl and Boy Scouts are forbidden by the JWs because they have to swear allegiance to God and Country.. Make sure you sign them up at the YMCA for swimming lessons too! hehehhe

how do i get over a broken heart?

my daughter, 25 a witness will not let me see my granddaughter anymore and she misses me and i miss her...i have been very ill and this is the worse thing on top of everything...how do you go on living and try to pretend this beautiful little girl dosen't exist?i need some help...thank you.... .

I wish I had some comfort...a cure...ANYTHING that would help you. Im so sorry you are ill. The Society makes stones of the hearts of their members. Does anyone know if it is possible for grandparents to get court ordered visitation rights? Cant the Society be sued for alienation of affection??? SOMEBODY HELP US!!!

When to put up Christmas decorations?

the kids are very keen on having a christmas tree and some decorations.. is there any date these are supposed to go up or are we going to look really silly having it up mid november ?

I can see Tinkerbell waving from the window at her inlaws driving away with the other hand already putting up a wreath on the other side of the door LOLOL!!

Danny...I think he is relieved actually, that I do all the normal stuff with the kids. He can just blame me for it all, but see his kids grow up with a LIFE. I hated giving up Christmas, I would go into a massive depression every holiday watching my family and all the families on the street, having people over, watching them get and give gifts to their children..mine getting nothing. Having to explain stuff I didnt even believe to my little ones. I am SO making up for all that :)

Since the kids and I have started doing Christmas, from 1997 on....we have had our Thanksgiving dinner together and then had those PESKY three days afterward to entertain ourselves...SO!! We drag out all the Christmas decorations! Its only a month away from then and the time FLIES by! I love love love Christmas lights! They add such warmth to the home. My JW husband cringes pretty much from mid october to Jan 8 or so LOL! Tuff...Shootskis, I say. Also...if you get some cinnamon or pine candles if you do fake trees like we do (trees in Florida are WAAAY to expensive) it keeps the atmosphere festive. Have fun!

once i bought a 2 door car, and everyone was looking at me as if i commited a crime.

i then reasoned with them saying, "didn't jesus send his deciples by groups of 2?".

One of the worst offenders in our congregation (remember not to think more of yourself than was necessary? this guy thought enough of himself for all of us combined) drove a poptop, cherrie red, two seater mazda with vanity plates and parked in the handicapped spot. He just laughed at those show smirked and said "So ...you like my Showy Display?"

They will see it anyway...they always do. Wont stand in line and BE SEEN by other JWs mind you but will be the FIRST to get it on HBO or at the Blockbusters. I guaranfreakintee it. One sister at the bookstudy boldly raised her hand and started in on how she WALKED OUT of Disneys "Hercules" with her kids because they were teaching the children something to the effect that you get sucked down into hell, and that it was real and she was ASTOUNDED...blah blah...well hell lady, exactly what were you expecting when you entered a movie called HERCULES?? Hades is depicted as a standup yiddish speaking comedian with a Bronx accent. Yeah...thats real. They ALL doth protesteth WAY to mucheth.

Dont let em see Bambi....the animals speak

Dont go see Pollyanna...she wraps herself in a flag, and eventually falls out of a tree...too much violence.

Dont watch Shirley Temple...she patronizes with the troops under Satans Government.

And oh my GOD dont let em watch Nickelodeon...theres this guy who lives in a pineapple under the sea.....
