Are You A man Or A Woman?
by SpannerintheWorks insometimes, the gender of a poster is relatively easy to deduce due to their style of posting, and, dare i say it, their choice of vocabulatory.
but sometimes it is difficult to know if you are "talking" to a man or a woman (or homosexual).
ok, right away, i hear protests of "what the heck does it matter?

I haven't been out since the end of September, and so I faked mine for the first time this last week, for the same reason as stated above!

Just signed up for my first Christmas party!
by Matty ini've worked for the same company since i left college, for a long time, and so some people where i work have known me for many years.
i am by and large still known as a jehovah's witness who generally refuses social invites.
i have not spoken a great deal to my work colleagues about my change of heart about my religion, just a select few, although people have definitely noticed that i don't preach at them anymore!

Bless you, you're too kind Eman, I think you credit me with rather more charisma than I actually have.

Dsgal, it must be tough to have a normal childhood and then to suddenly have the witness lifestyle thrusted upon you. I guess that at an early age you would trust that your parents are doing the right thing by you. To a certain extent born-to's don't really miss what they've never had in the first place.

She's taking a break from posting, kinda gone into withdrawal mode for a while, absorbing herself with her new job and supporting her two girls. She has also recently had a reoccurrence of her sinus infection to contend with as well as her husband mincing her heart into small pieces.
If you look at her last thread you will get the gist:
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.aspx?id=38612&site=3
I think it would help her to know how much we all love her and miss her posts.

Describe Your "STATUS" In The Congreg...
by minimus inif you were to describe what your status was in the congregation, what would it be?
were you viewed as mature?
in "good standing", a pain in the rear?

Matty's Status Report:
I am in "good standing" I guess. I have neglected to say that I haven't been on the ministry since 29th September and turned in a report for October anyway, making me still "regular". This is the first time I have faked a report, plenty of others have done it, so what! Nobody has said anything so far, I don't feel guilty about it, which must mean I'm moving on.
I am now missing the odd meeting with lame excuses like working late etc.. I don't have any privilages and intend to keep it that way. I was a Ministerial Servant in a previous congregation, but I haven't been reappointed thank goodness! I am still commenting at meetings, but I hope to phase that out soon, providing I don't get too much fuss made about it. I want to leave at my own pace.

My grandma
by Vivamus inmy grandma was a remarkable woman, with a sense of humour that could crack me up.
and she had the determination to make everything she started a success.
she never gave up, and fought for everything she hold dear.
