  our circuit had invited a speaker from new york, during his visit, he related some interesting facts about our organization.

  youtube user JWfairytale was in NYC at the time. He made a video on it, may want to msg him and ask him which one it is (he makes a lot) I remember him saying, that when people were coming across the bridge, covered in soot and stuff, the JWs inside were told to stay out of it, don't do anything.

  JWs were rushing out with blankets and water anyway, despite being told not to. Just shows to me, that the WT hasn't fully destroyed the JWs consciences.

  From me, this is just hearsay, so I would talk to him directly.

  has anyone ever had any personal paranormal experiences or know of anyone who has (first hand)?.

  To answer your more direct quesiton. Have you SEEN a demon or in this case ghost?

  I once spent the night in an "authentic" (it was registered at a true haunted house anyway) I went to the graveyard where those who once lived in the house were buried and invited them to the house. I saw nothing. Felt nothing. Sensed nothing. I tried.

  Just the stories, the urban legends that go around. Of course in my household...parent fought, we went on a demon hunt....kids rebelling, demon hunt...rooms messy, demon hunt.

  Mom would always find something she thought was possessed and it was burned and buried in the back yard. So much crap buried in that back yard haha.

  Are the Watchtower HQ washing their hands of congregations?

  it seems more and more from what i read that if there is problems in congregations (i.e.

  paedophilia) the wtbts are washing their hands of any wrongdoing and leaving the congregation and its elder's to carry the can.. is that how it is now?.

  Yes, I see that as well. Even letters to the elders are to that affect "handle it yourself, stop bugging us" It's just another way for the WT to remove itself from any accountablility. They got hit really hard with the pedophilia stuff, the legal issues in Australia, etc. This is a legal corporation, and they are pulling legal strings to protect themselves, screw the members. Nothing new really, just more in your face.

  Pioneers and Their Way of Counting "Time"

  in the congregations in my area there was an expression to the effect that 'there's counting time and then there's the way pioneers count their time'.

  the watchtower's guidelines were pretty strict on when time could be counted.

  some pioneers followed it and others didn't.. on particularly motivated young man comes to mind, he would work full-time or close to it and pioneer.

  I see it as part of the entrapment. I was talking to someone who was a pioneer before they left. He didn't really work, not in school, and really worked at pioneering. He said it is impossible to get the time in. That he feels it is designed to be ...close but no cigar...forcing you to fudge the numbers. Once you do that, they got ya. You are now a conspirator, and trapped. Once you start really lying for these men, you tie yourself to them in a new way, making it even harder to break free.

  Blood Policy: Punishment?

  i have no idea what happens to those who take blood transfusions.

  this i don't think, is never made clear at the meetings.

  do they get disfellowshipped or reproved or is it a conscience matter or what?.

  It's a conscience matter. This is how it works....if blood is forced on you, it's a conscience matter, you won't be DF'd but you might be treated as a leper anyway.

  If you "willfully" take blood, you have DA'd yourself, shun city. It's in the elders manual.

  but i know that once it happens, good friends are crushed and desperately want that person reinstated.

  when they are reinstated, there is a lot of (quiet) celebration.

  This was one of the early videos I stumbled across. It was split up but I watched the whole thing. I was in wake up mode, and I researched every single accusation that was brought up. It was a big help. Of course being old enough to really remember and appreciate the 1975 false prophecy helped.
