"Jesus" is probably crying because of the way those who believe in him are treated by the WBTS. Or he could have a kidney stone.

Another story of JW's and child abuse
by Black Man ini've really been getting into these life stories of ex jw's.
it just confirms i was right in getting out of the cult like the plague it is.
here's a link to another powerful story about ex-jw stephanie hammond.

Stephanie certainly took lemons and made lemonade. Her mother is unbelievable! I do perceive a bias against women and children in this story. As Rush Limbaugh could tell you, no one ever went broke putting down the defenseless and vulnerable.

If you DA, your mom may have to be hospitalized and sedated. Your story is heartbreaking, but I think it would be ill-advised to hand them another stick to beat you with.
Take care. We are here for you.

I know this sounds crazy but, what if?
by earthfire inso i've been thinking about my jw family members a lot lately, especially since i just saw them a couple of weeks ago at my youngest sisters wedding.
with all the current animosity towards apostates that seems to be more aggressive than usual it hit me when i saw this posted on fb today.
would it be possible for the gb to demand that jw's kill apostates?

When I attended my JC meeting, I was thinking to myself, "If they could, they would take me outside, tie me to a tree, and light me on fire." They're really scary. As it stands, they have their great Hit Man in the Sky, but he keeps delaying. I know that, in the past, they have expressed regret at not being able to stone wayward children and wayward others to death.
Lucky for us, it's against the law. But, Caesar's law does not take precedence over "Jehovah's law."
This is all speculation. But watch your back. Fortunately, no JW's here know anything about me.
Frankly, I don't think it's likely, but individual JW's have lost it and killed.

144,000 as Kings and Priests Really? or not?
by Crazyguy inin revelation chapters 7 and 14 there it talks about the 144k but says nothing of them being kings and priests.
in revelation chapter 5 and 20 it mentions ones being kings and judges, but if you notice in chapter 20 verse 4-5 it talks about martyrs coming to life judging and reigning with jesus, not the 144k specifically.
in verse 5-6 talks about the first resurrection and that all that share in this first resurrection will be priests of god and of jesus and they will reign for a thousand years.. so notice in revelation chapters 7 and 19 a great crowd is mentioned being alive standing before the throne standing at the same time as the 144k are mentioned.

Why do "perfect" people need kings and priests? I am reminded of the ignorant, arrogant elders who smugly believed they would be "princes" in the "New Order." Why doesn't God see us all as equal?

Hate Speech
by Roberta804 ini was listening to a recording on youtube taken from the 2013 convention on "human apostates".
the term "mentally diseased" is way over the line.
can you imagine if they called blacks or catholics or god forbid, muslims "mentally diseased" what kind of trouble there would be?
-
Mum
I don't know about the rest of you, but I have noticed that the most self-righteous hate speakers are people of low character, little understanding, living lives that do more harm than the ones they speak against could ever imagine.

Feeling Guilty
by naazira ini am feeling gulity because i will not be going to the summer convention.
i just can not sit through the talks they are sooo boring.
im cutting off all contact with the witnesses.

It took me two years to realize that the JW's were not special. Be patient with yourself. Take baby steps. Missing the convention can be the first step. Then read some good books, take a class, join a club, and build a new life for yourself.
Having a meeting with the elders was the catalyst to my realization that they are just another cult. The elders behaved so arrogantly and aggressively that I could not understand how they could claim to have any connection with God. They did not care about me or my spirituality or well-being in any way.
Your guilt is misplaced. If you need to feel guilt, it would be better to feel guilty about not donating to local food banks, doing volunteer work in the community in such a way that it makes a difference in people's lives, and for not becoming the person you were meant to be instead of being controlled by people who don't give a d*** about you.

Some years ago, I read an account online of a young woman who said she had been disfellowshipped at age 12. Her story was that she babysat for neighbors, and that the children's father raped her. I'm unclear on most of the details. In a way, this story raises more questions than it answers. There is also the fact that I've forgotten a lot. I do remember that it made me feel sick and horrified.
She said that she reported the rape (to the elders? to her parents?), and a JC was assembled to interrogate her. She was criticized for wearing shorts in the summertime, wearing lipstick, and making herself a temptress of sorts. (Are men so pathetically weak that they can't stop themselves from raping a 12-year-old wearing shorts and lipstick?)
The upshot of it all is that she was DF'd. Maybe she had unbelieving parents. I don't remember anything in the story about whether the rapist was prosecuted or even reported to the police by anyone.

How do you see yourself, a reformer, a rebel, a traitor, or HER MAJESTY'S LOYAL OPPOSITION?
by prologos inif you compare the immense majestic universe to a stable law- supported, immutable constitutional monarchy, or its non-royal equivalent,.
where do you and i fit in, balking one way or another( and for various reason) at.
