  hi guys,.

  i am so out of touch with tv shows and i have got a lot of catching up to do.. some-one suggested dexter and it was fantastic and what an ending.

  Are you watching "Downton Abbey" on PBS. It's all the rage. I don't normally like sitcoms, but "The Big Bang Theory" is pure fun beause of the psychological profiles of the main characters.

  just started reading her expose of scientology.

  while it is shocking to say the east the similarities to jw cultish practices are equally shocking.

  just wondering if anyone else is reading it..

  Another good read of the same genre is "Monkey on a Stick." I do not recall the author's name. The book is about a Hare Krishna commune in Moundville, West Virginia. Sick!

  watching over you, your entire life.. there are moments in my life i don,t care to think about.lol.

  Compared to most of my relatives, I'm a saint. So I would not care if they saw what I've done juxtaposed against what they've done. I do feel sometimes that I do have a guardian angel or some invisible being or entity looking out for me. I have survived many rough patches and come through basically unscathed except for some emotional scars.

  Anyone still "in" that is feeling physically sick??

  i really think that staying "in" just for family and friends is doing a number on my health.

  i am currently in therapy for the mental part of all of this but i am phsyically sick every time i have to get ready to go to the meeting or service.

  i get heart palpitations as well.

  Do you have any non-JW relatives in another part of the country who might take you in for a while until you find a job? Do you have a spouse and children to consider? I've been through a similar situation to yours, and that's how I got away. We're here for you.

  My JW elder ex-husband seemed to think I was not entitled to have wishes, needs, or a brain. His wishes should have been my wishes. He ridiculed the idea that Jehovah understood me and my perspective.

  My daughter tells me he thinks I'm the devil incarnate, but still believes I am the "smartest woman" he ever met. Apparently the smartest woman is inferior to the most ignorant man. Once we had an argument about math (I was helping him study for his GED), and he argued that a male co-worker of his had told him differently than what I was saying. The male co-worker was taking classes at some proprietary college. So I became uncharacteristically loud and angry. He was shocked, and told me I didn't "have to go 'stock' raving mad.

  But I did need to. And I did. And, eventually, I left.

  It's all about me. :-)

  A message to the entire organization of JWs

  we are going to do some real quick math here, very simple math.

  we have established that elders are not appointed by god, that is done.

  there are people on this message board that (i do believe) who have said that they basically smooched ass for a few months and were appointed ms (same holds true for elder just more ass smooching).

  I have known several elders (in the distant past, but I'm sure this pathology has not changed) who would never rise to a high position anywhere else. They were semi-literate and ignorant, not able to understand (or even read correctly) their talk outlines. Sadly, most of the members of their congregations (or other congregations) didn't even perceive the problem. Maybe that's one reason they don't encourage education, i.e., so that their members won't be able to tell that their leaders are a bunch of ignoramuses. So sad.

  during the public talk last week the elder giving the talk.

  mentioned the tragedy in newton, conn where an evil.

  man killed 27 innocent people including 20 children.

  THE OX and THE TRUTH

  sometimes an ox gets sick and dies.. .

  when your ox dies you don't just lose an ox.. nope.. you lose all the money you spent on that ox.. you lose all the feed you ever fed it.. you lose the time spent taking care of it.. this includes any veteranarian bills as well.. you can't eat the meat from a dead sick ox either, so, you lose the meal or the sale of the meat as well!.

  what about using that chain of reasoning on the truth (or so-called) of jehovah's witnesses.. .

  The borg is the first to point the finger at Roman Catholicism for the same thing! I remember a talk at the KH after it became okay for Catholics to eat meat on Friday, in which the speaker cited a cartoon showing the Devil in hell asking something like, "What am I supposed to do with all these people who are down here for eating meat on Friday?"

  I pity the GB when and if they have to meet their maker.
