here's a program i'll definitely want to see on november 22nd.

it seems that there are some archeologists that have done some investigating around roswell, to see if there's any evidence of a crash there 50 years ago.. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&cid=570&ncid=753&e=1&u=/nm/20021116/sc_nm/life_ufo_dc.

i believe that a ufo did in fact, crash there in 1947 and that there was a cover up.. if it were proven that it was a ufo, how would that affect our society, religion in particular?.

Hi larc,

How far away is the nearest planet that could support life?

How long would it take them to get from their planet to ours?

How much food and water would they have to have on board a space craft in order to get here and back?

All good questions larc.
But no one here can give a answer to these questions because we can only look at this subject with our limited knowledge.

Yes. Gullible if they believed something that proved to be false and still believed it.
You know. Kind of like believing the WTS speaks for God when all proof shows that they do not.

I don't think I would say that ufos don't exist because I haven't seen one land and et stepped out of it.

I also wouldn't say that they definitely exist because I haven't seen one.

I do think there have been too many sightings of something.
Whether spacecraft of somekind, I don't know.

And alot of so called ufos have been explained reasonably.
Proving that they weren't from out of space.

Other sightings?
I don't know.

But I'll keep an open mind on this subject.
Because at the moment can we really be so sure as to say that they definitely don't exist?

door with a middle aged mentally challanged guy from the hall,.

it was his turn to give a presentation and being challenged he.

Going door to door in an apartment complex and coming across a person I grew up with.

This person knew me long before I became a JW.
And also knew of the stuff I did as a 'worldly person'.

It was hard keeping a straight face while trying to place mags.

this has not happened to me, but i am curious as to what the elders would do if they came to you and asked about something you had done and you said you did not want to discuss it...and left it at that......they couldnt do anything about it could they?

I don't feel the elders have any right to question people.

If they feel the need to harass someone with questions, I suggest using spiritual warfare.

You know.
Not telling the truth to those that don't deserve it.

After all, hasn't the WTS said that it's not lying to do it?

Play by thier rules.

You know what the word apostate means.

I suggest that most posters here that don't believe that the WTS is what they claim to be are apostate.

Wouldn't you agree, knowing what the word means?

In fact, isn't it true that anyone that changes his/her mind on what they believe is an apostate.

Whether it's religion, political or anything else one puts a belief in?

There have been many sightings by many people.

Some have been explained.
Some have not.

The Bible does seem to make reference to ufos.

Could they be real?

And if they are,, what could they be and where could they have come from?

What would you do if you saw one?

Christ's return is NOT invisible!

one of the principal teachings of jws is that christ's return was invisible in 1914. this, in my mind, is one of the strongest proofs that they ignore the bible and instead devote their lives to the false teachings of a man-made organization.

mt 24:30 - "and then the sign of the son of man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in lamentation, and they will see the son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

" mt 26:64 - "yet i say to you men, from henceforth you will see the son of man sitting at the right hand of power and coming on the clouds of heaven.

Excactly how I view it.

He will come as a thief in the night.
Meaning you don't know when he will arive.

Every eye shall see Him.
Meaning when He does arive it will be known by everyone.

So the way I see it, coming as a thief in the night has NOTHING to do with coming invisibly.
It just means that we don't know when to expect Him.

But with all the scriptures stating that every eye WILL see Him shows that once He is here, all will know.

The Watchtower Plot Against Us

the watchtower organisation has been guilty of major coverups and blatant lies.. it does not want ex jws telling others what they know.. does it ever occur to you that the watchtower have people who post on this board, gathering information about us?

they could use it against us at any time....they could keep a record of what we say on our posts and establish who we really are.. e.g.

people who i hardly ever speak to on this board suddenly seem to know details about me.

I'm sure they would love to df every JW that posts here.

There were threads stating that the WTS wants to start contacting the inactive JWs to see where they stand and try to get them to go to the meetings.

I think this will be a way for the WTS to corner inactive ones into admiting how they feel about the WTS and then df them if they don't agree to tow the party line.

They are already starting to shun those that don't go to the meetings.

So if you don't want to be put on the spot by these people, don't reveal how you truly feel about the WTS.

Actually, it's better not to even meet with these people.

Remember. The only power they have is the power you give them.

after reading about how we now have an increase in the lord's organization, i must wonder whether we think that their data is reliable.

the society has used "theocratic stratergy" for years and lied about anything that is in their best interests.

why take any stock in what they say about anything.

I would have to answer, yes it would.

I mentioned on a different thread that I didn't believe there are 6 million JWs thruout the world.

I believe that the WTS would have it's followers believe that they are a growing religion and use that as proof that God is blessing them.

Haven't they stated in thier mags. over the years that thier (WTS) growth over the years is proof that they are Gods orginization?

If the WTS came out and said that thier message is not being accepted and they are not growing like they want to, do you think the r&f JW would feel like they were doing something important?

Would the r&f feel that what they are doing is being blessed by God?

Being at ALL the meetings thruout the week and getting out in field service as much as possible is what the WTS is all about.

If the r&f JW felt going out in service was a waste of time as noone wanted to hear thier message, would they continue doin it?

The WTS already has a hard time keeping the r&f going out in service.
No imagine being told that all the hours being put in service was a waste of time.
I think the service hours would be much less than what they are now.

So would the WTS lie?

YES it would.
It does ALL the time.

Remember. The WTS does NOT view lieing as wrong.

As they have stated, It's theocratic strategy.

So they do and will lie all they want if they feel it will benifit them.
