  "the reverend's wife tells about her day".

  she says, the other day i went to the local religious book store, where i saw a "honk if you love jesus" bumper sticker.

  i bought it and put it on the back bumper of my car and i'm really glad i did.

  Free Photo Drama Daily!

  i have a question.. the wts likes to boast about the "photo drama" produced from 1912 and shown in 1914 onwards.

  there is an article again on this subject in the jan 15, 2001 watchtower (yes, i know i am milking that one watchtower i have for all it's worth!)..

  Hi waiting,
  I've read your story and you have my sympathies.
  However I don't believe people who commit such an atrocity should be allowed to be around children.
  Whether they apoligize for it or not.
  As a father, I think such animals should be locked up forever.
  Maybe even the electric chair?

  I like the new sci-fi shows but I still prefer the original Star Treck.
  Same thing with the Twilight Zone and Outer Limits.

  it never ceases to amaze me that in my 30+ years of sitting in those cheep plastic chairs, how much i missed, took for granted or just plain didn't care.

  i took advantage of my time this morning to look over a couple aticles published by the borg, that relate to sites like this and countless others.

  {this one being the best of course, imho} .

  some of the kings of the earth and their supporters are aware of what the bible book of revelation says concerning the time of the end and their destruction for not having acknowledge jehovah's rulership and sovereignty, also they have failed to acknowledge jesus as king of kings and lord of lords in subject to the great king jehovah god.. the scriptures have put satan's system on notice but few take notice.

  Hi spec,
  You are right in saying we should not mock God.
  And certainly every knee should bend and every voice should praise God.
  And we have many examples throughout the bible of those that stood in oposition to God and what happened to them.
  But I must differ with you if you are saying that the WTS is Gods chosen org.
  You didn't say that in this post but I believe you still think they are?
  Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  I do believe that the bible is the word of God. And I do believe the prophecies will be fulfilled just as He wishes them to be.
  But I do not believe that God is using the WTS.
  They have proven with their flip flops in teachings and their history that they DO NOT have Gods backing.
  When people have died because of what the WTS taught,only to have those same teachings changed years later only goes to show that the WTS is a man made orginization.
  When they can teach something and claim that teaching is from Jehovah and that it is TRUTH from HIm, and then later change that teaching saying God gave new light only shows that they are on their own. That God is not guiding them.

  So What Tipped You Out, Then?

  can you remember that distinct moment in your life when you suddenly knew that your time as a jw was truly over?.

  for me, that moment came several years after the removal of my privileges in the congregation when i admitted to having known my then fiance in a way that was not fitting for a ministerial servant.. i was quickly stripped of my 2 servants jobs, group study conducting, pioneer status, public talk giving and praying in the kh.

  i was also forbidden to ever be alone with the lady concerned.. about 15 months later i was assigned a public talk, after 30 minutes i dried up.

  Hi Englishman,
  I think the moment I knew that my time as a JW was over was when the WTS changed the 1914 generation teaching.
  The fog I was in, when thinking that the WTS was Gods chosen org. started to lift.
  I started to notice a lot of inconsistencies in the publications.
  Then at one meeting, the brother giving the talk had the bible in his hand waiving it in the air saying that the bible was an orginization book.
  It was not written for the average person but was written for the F&DS to teach others with it. That the average person cannot understand it.
  It was then that I decided to investigate the past teachings and history of the WTS.
  And I certainly found more than I was looking for.

  i noticed this in the october 15th, 2000 wt article entitled "should you investigate other religions?"..

  "recognizing true christianity - after the apostles died, true worship became contaminated by the progressive development of many forms of imitation christianity.

  forseeing this, jesus disclosed one way to distinguish these counterfeit forms of christianity from true chistianity.

  Thanks for posting that.
  I'm always amazed at the double standard the WTS has.
  They say to those at the doors "You should check into your religions beliefs and history to see if what they teach is acording to Gods Word,the Bible."
  But when it comes to their followers checking into the history and the changes in teaching of the WTS they say "We must not question the F&DS. To do so is to question God."
  Now suppose all the other religions said that to their followers. The WTS would say "What are they afraid of? Are they afraid that you will learn that they are not what they claim to be?"
  Now let's use those same words on those who refuse to look into the history and changes of the WTS.
  What are you afraid of? Are you afraid to learn that the WTS is not what they claim to be?
  After all, Truth can stand up to any light.

  i worked years ago with a middle-aged couple that was second and third generation jws who at my urging, read ray's book crisis of conscience.

  he had been a former elder and the effect it had on him literally made him sick.

  Hi zev,
  Reading Crisis of Concience certainly answered many questions I had about the WTS and their teachings.
  I think at least for me, one of the hardest things to admit to myself was the fact that I was taken in (fooled) into believing that this man made orginization was from God. And that they were speaking for Him.
  I've heard over and over again that unless we are connected to the WTS and go to the meetings we will die at Armageddon because that is where God teaches His people.
  Well,learning from reading COC we can see the mess ups the org. has made regarding the teachings that they acredit to God.
