question: how does the leadership of jehovah's witnesses instruct its members to prepare for the eventual elder care of its members?.
answer: it pretends it will never happen!.
is this responsible leadership or some kind of cognitive dissonant malfeasance?.
" In effect, the rank and file were told to jump into the ocean and swim out as far as their strength could carry them and
a miraculous rescue ship would appear!
When no such ship arrived the leaders insisted nobody should have listened to them in the first place!
Swimming was demanded but drowning was optional."
Great thought!!
They said the rescue ship was more "probable than possible" in keeping with the WTBTS attempt at apology for 1975 debacle.
The WTBTS tried to blame the 1975 fervor on the Jw Rank and File. Really? If the WTBRS knew that the R&F were sharing these wrong beliefs amongst themselves then why did they not use the DC CA magazines to shut down this erroneous thinking?

Hellooo? What about the part where they actually changed the scripture to make their edit correct, grammatically.

"First, we must proclaim that name to others, recognizing that only those who 'call on the name of Jehovah will be saved.' (Rom. 10:13)"
(Emphasis mine)
Rom 10:13 says: "For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.”" (Emphasis mine)
Looks like they had to change the scripture to make their edit work out. See where they changed the word "calls" to "call"?
This was because a ",.....recognizing those who "calls" (with an S) on the name of Jehovah will not be saved" does not flow gramatically now does it.

..according to the wt, adam and eve were created to live forever on earth right from the start.
two things i just thought of.. 1) one of the reasons that they were banished from the garden was so that they couldn't eat from 'the tree of life' , which would allow them to live forever.. so doesn't that mean that they were created with bodies that were going to deteriorate and die?
or would the magic fruit make them invulnerable even to gods power to destroy them?
I had the same thought in the past.
If things are eventually back to the way Jehovah wanted it either it was lacking a 144,000 government back then in the garden of Eden or it has one that it does not need in the future.

hi guys,.
have you ever wondered how the watchtower bible and tract society keep all the jehovah's witnesses in line?.
it's a simple concept really.

*we are all from different cultural and educational backgrounds, we all experience different circumstances in life, and i don't mean to offend anyone on this forum in any way.*.
with that said here are my observations, and i want to know what you have observed.. in my experience i have noticed a trend: zealous witnessestend to exhibit the worst grammar when compared to non-witnesses!.
i want you to think back, or check it out for yourself if you haven't noticed it.. on social networks: compare comments on anything by jws (especially the uber-zealous ones) with those of your atheist or other religiously affiliated friends.
There is a youtube video series that a user named Mikeatheist has where he allowed 2 elders to conduct numerous bible studies with him.
On one of the studies an elders commented about being virile in his days preJW and said, (paraphrasing now)
"When I was younger, I would hit that Pu$$y every chance I would get,.. chuckle chuckle chuckle"
Here is the lead in video, there are many and I don't remember which one it was in, but they are all worth the watch.

cherrypicking individual verses out of context from scripture to fit our own theorums.. i randomly used 3 scriptures and stitched them together watchtower(r) style for a joke and to prove a point.. nb.
this is under the jokes section so don't take it seriously .
matthew 23:23 then jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples:2 the teachers of the law and the pharisees sit in moses seat.. evidently this is a very old seat and probably needs a new cushion by now.
If you had to cherry pick a scripture that would support cherry picking scriptures, what would it be? I'm sure the JWs have one for that also.

almighty god must have had a lot of time for thinking, so he must have sat there, at least once and thought along the lines of:.
"i wonder if i am actually almighty god, or is there something or someone greater than me ?".
"how can i know i have always existed?".
Stumbled on this youtube users video about this subject. Probably shared on here in the past, deserves another.
Got to watch it all the way till the end for the grand finale. Sensitive users please note, use of "Potty Mouth" language within but don't let that prevent you from getting the point of the video. It would be like not getting the point of Schindlers List due to some brief frontal nudity.

When my wife watched the video she had an "aha" moment. She kept repeating "pretending to know things you don't know" and that is what it really is isn't it?
It's a crutch to get a person past a "mental crevice" or gap in evidence, as it were.(lol) Having Faith allows the person to create a "bridge" in their thinking.
To me it's a mental "work around" that a person needs to use when confronted with this gap in evidence. It's the easier of 2 choices to reduce the "cognitive dissonance" they may be experiencing. You can either face the facts as to the lack of evidence, or insert the Faith. Inserting Faith is the easier of the tow to do.
It's something that people should REALLY be ashamed of having, using, encouraging other people to increase their "FAITH"
