  as a ex jw i am cyncial to dating perhaps because i did not do much dating as a jw.

  do any of you still feel this way?

  i am not against dating but i am still that dating and getting yourself emontionallt attached is sort of a way of being in chains..

  Try hookers, just be safe :D but seriously, I have the same issues. It took me two years to get used to the "worldy" (=normal) way of thinkig about relationships and sex. Now when I see a teen couple I no longer despise them.

  I think your problem is more connected to your personality, maybe you are used to live and figure things out on your own. You need to socialize more; drinks do help to relax. Get out of your comfort zone.

  I agree with the most of you however I beleive that as a result of medicine the human species is playing against natural selection which is best for a species. I have some health issues, chronic ones.

  I seriously think that the ill having offsprings weakens us. That wasn't a question 200 years ago, they didn't live to have children.

  also there was a comment made by an elder recently, saying that jehovah(tm) would kill elders who apostasized by not waiting for the "slave" to get things right.

  I always thought that the only people who won't get resurrected are the people killed by Jehovah™ himself and those who made the holy spirit sad.

  What is it with teens/adults and dependency on everyone else?

  i've seen a lot of this lately here in the uk, where teens and young adults still depend on their parents when they live away from home.. some just don't seem able to earn enough.

  some are on benefits.

  some earn more than me and are in debt.

  I don't live at home. I survive on my own. Words cannot describe the freedom I posses comparing to my past residence at my parents' place. I also don't give a &%$* about them, as they have the same attidtude toward me, :)

  btw, @defianttruth: military? really? Your "I'll decide how you spend your money" thing seems hard to come to terms with to me.
