  recently i was talking to my mil, ( an elderly 2ond gen dub) about an experience hubby had at work.

  i wanted to anti-witness.

  i told her that baalam was sent on a sales call where the client turned out to be an inactive sister.

  i was just remembering some jw's i was especially fond of who left the borg when i was active.

  in my sincere dubbiness, i called or went to see them to beg them to reconsider because i loved them so much.

  (i didn't want them to become bird food) i literally cried for them.

  i was shopping, looking at a handbag, when m****** rushed up to me and gave me a hug.

  startled, i looked up to see a sister who was never friendly when i attended her cong.

  my 93 yr. old widowed destitute mother has dementia.

  i am her only child.

  So glad to be home from the hospital!

  this past mon.

  i had to have a hysterectomy and some other repairs.

  i told the doc that since i'm going under anyway, if you see something that needs fixing, do it....and he went to town!

  Did your parents HATE the TV show Father Knows Best?

  boy, mine did.

  leave it to beaver, donna reid, ossie and harriet made them squirm.

  any show that depicted kind fathers, happy nurturing mothers, and normal kids getting to do normal kid things made them cranky and me sad.

  What is the stupidest comment you ever heard at a meeting?

  a very reliable friend told me this: the bro was commenting on what was "unacceptable" conduct in the bedroom between married persons.

  needless to say, he had everyone's attention.

  he went on to say "we must avoid perversions such as oral and annual sex.

  What's the most insensitive thing you have been told while grieving?

  a few years ago my 21 yr old firstborn and only son died in an accident.

  i was an active jw at the time.

  in fact , i was at the meeting when it happened.

  until recently i was a true believer of more than 50 yrs.

  as my name implies, i am third generation from both parents going back to the turn of the previous century.
