funniest reply I've read today to any post.
you know i was very content to just sit back on my dark throne of fire and let everything fall into place but jesus christ had to come along and mess things up for me.. i saw his post about how the jehovahs witnesses are not affiliated with him and god and yes it is true they are right.
for the record the group known as jehovahs witnesses are under my command and do my bidding.
as you well know they use fear to convert their members.

ill have to think of 1 here go s "mum are boob jobs demonic" lol
young people ask: why can rock stars become witnesses when witnesses can not become rock stars?
young people ask: why is serving Jehovah so mind numbingly boring?
young people ask: is it natural to want to run screaming from the ministry school after only twenty minutes?
young people ask: do donuts really enhance field service?
young people ask: what is the best way to outrun angry dogs when in field service?
young people ask: is it still a crime if there is only one and a half witnesses to it?
young people ask: what is a russelite?

pope shenouda warns copts that marriage with jehovah's witnesses is ground for excommunication, divorce fri jul 19, 9:17 am et http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20020719/ap_wo_en_po/egypt_copts_1
cairo, egypt - the head of the coptic orthodox church criticized the jehovah's witness faith and said a copt's conversion to the sect was a ground for divorce, egypt's middle east news agency reported on friday.
pope shenouda iii said conversion to the jehovah's witness faith was a ground for divorce within his church.
I was even aware that the coptic church still had that many followers! I am woefully behind on my religious knowledge it seems.
have you ever been somewhere in public and without any warning what so ever your underwear decides to place you in a german suplex?
i was a victim this afternoon at lunch, i was in the middle of the cafeteria and i got so tangled up that even certain hairs were intertwined.
i felt like screaming, somehow i managed to ease my way to the washroom and straighten out matters.. i'm throwing out all my briefs when i get home.
leander my friend the answer is boxers. breathing room for all.
and, this may be off topic but so be it, the revelation of all these female board members wearing granny panties to bed has really disrupted my romantic view of them. sigh. good thing I'm already married, huh?

they were the good old days, in the uk about 10 years ago were able to purchase food tokens to get our lovely hot food supplied at conventions i used to really look forward conventions then, then all of a sudden voila no hot food supplied at assemblys no more i was "gutted" i really missed the currys and sunday veg mmmmmmmmm.
but why did they stop doing it, i think this really upset most having to bring your own grub.they do give free water at them now though
wow, this thread brings back memories. once I was talked into volunteering for food service. it was just in the distribution though, not the making. it was so disorganized. some of the young ones slyly tried to show me how it was preferable to sitting and listening. but I think I preferred sitting. at some point during my time with the dubs, I learned to bring my journal and write in it during the talks. my mom thought I was taking notes, but I was writing poetry and shortstories. I think I even learned how to sleep with my eyes open at one assembly.

according to "crisis of conscience", the gb didn't have power/control before 1975. the corporation ( the watchtower bible and tract society inc.) had the power, and they were neglecting the people.
after the 1975 commotion, they tried to act like the gb.
so they took over the control.
you know, it still astounds me that while I was in the borg, I never gave any thought as to who actually really made the decisions at bethel. elders in my cong always made it out to sound like some mythical body, it was always "the brothers at bethel" this and "the governing body " that. it was as if this group of men were superpowered, like they all thought the same and came to the same conclusions and that it was due to jehovah that they are able to make the wise decisions. reading franz's first book finally nudged that inane idea from my head. amazing the things intelligent people can talk themselves into believing.

when you were a jw, remember those little things that made you happy on the inside but "sad" on the outside.
for example, the meeting ending early or better yet, being cancelled.
i recall a few years back the society was pushing sunday field service.
hm. let's see:
I was always surprised when no one came to the door when out in field service. I remember distinctly a few saturday mornings when we never encountered ANYONE. loved those days.
I was always happy on the inside when the mikes would die or that there were technical difficulties during the sunday meetings. it was comic relief to watch all these so called "spiritually mature" brothers mess around and almost electricute themselves. amazing how "spiritually mature" usually equated to "dumb as a rock" in my cong.
I was ecstatic when my family (single mom, myself and two younger sisters) couldn't afford to go to the convention. that was a meeting free week without any guilt! it was glorious. didn't happen often enough in retrospect.
