these new appointments are troubling, to say the least, especially considering the factors surrounding their selection.

these appointments raise key concerns about leadership, experience, and what is happening behind the scenes at the organization's headquarters.

Why do most ordinary Christians agree with JWs that Jesus is God’s first creation?

in a book which attempts to refute jw christology, the trinitarian scholar greg lanier begins his argument with the surprising admission that a majority of evangelical christians agree with jws that jesus is god’s first creation.

a 2018 survey by ligonier ministries and lifeway research found that nearly 95 percent of self-described evangelical christians affirm the trinity, but simultaneously, about 80 percent believe that jesus christ is the "first and greatest being created by god.

" the shocking thing is that these respondents do not appear to realize the stark contradiction in these two positions.. greg lanier, is jesus truly god?

Proof of two destinies for believers in the Bible, heavenly and earthly

the jw idea that believers are destined either for heavenly life or for endless life on earth comes in for significant criticism by critics of various kinds.

even some groups, such as the christadelphians, who share belief in a future paradise earth, don’t share the view that some christians are destined for life in heaven.

yet there is surprisingly quite a lot of evidence in the bible for the existence of two distinct groups of believers.

(Matthew 20:28) "Just as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and to give his life as a ransom in exchange for many.”

(Luke 19:10) "For the Son of man came to seek and to save what was lost.” (Exactly what did Adam lose???????)

(1 Corinthians 15:22) "For just as in Adam all are dying, so also in the Christ all will be made alive."

(1 Corinthians 15:45) "So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living person.” The last Adam (Jesus) became a life-giving spirit."

(1 Timothy 2:5, 6) "...Christ Jesus, who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all..." (that's exactly what a ransom does - it corresponds to what was lost, nothing more, nothing less)

(Isaiah 9:6) "His name will be called...Eternal Father..." (replacing Adam and becoming mankind's "surrogate" lifegiver)

Bottom line: No amount of Scriptural gymnastics or theological wishful thinking will get anyone into heaven. Adam never lost that hope or expectation for anyone, so no one can complain if they're upset at facing the same kind of life which all of Adam's descendants would have had - if he hadn't blown it.

Jesus is the first & last - human to ever be resurrected to heaven.

here’s a cautionary tale for anyone counting on past ties with jehovah’s witnesses to dodge conscription: they’ll throw you under the bus faster than you can say “conscientious objector.” a man in ukraine learned this the hard way after refusing military service and hoping his old religious connections would save him.

On the subject of the O.P. - Are governments (e.g. Ukraine) now insisting that to be a conscientious objector, you have to be a signed up member of a Christian denomination/sect?

Romans 8:38, 39 - "For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor governments (nor the WTBTS) nor things now here nor things to come nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Surely a faith is a faith - even for non-denominational Christians?
