I look at my life, I have A PHD and couple other Degrees. I have experience as a leader( military training) you would think with what I can do and my experience, WT would make me an elder?? Nope, some 20 year old yes man.

Quoting the Daily Mail at meetings
by Farmer Jim1 ini've just remembered that i attended a hall where one of the brothers consistently quoted daily mail articles to back up his answers during the meetings.
i found it hard to keep a straight face when the inevitable daily mail article was quoted to 'prove' a bible passage at each meeting.. no one really seemed to mind and i remember one time i spoke to an elder and said this has to stop as he is passing off tabloid tattle as hard fact.. elder wasn't interested.
i guess as long as the answers backed up the party line no one cared..

WT HQ is never proactive, they are reactive to everything put out showing their blatant hypocrisy and abject stupidity
by WingCommander ina few on here (and of course many on the ex-jw reddit forum) have mentioned that wt hq just recently (like in the past couple months) put out a video warning against the praising of jw actors, taking photos with them, etc.
to not do it anymore.

Herelam60- I have experienced the same thing from the pioneer elder that was studying with me. I'm above average student and good at researching things( ex military training) But what he didn't like or could not answer was questions that I would come too. Sometimes he would ignore those questions or say that I'm running ahead.I would ask " If God Wrote the Bible for man to understand, why is it so difficult to understand?" He could not answer most of my questions. He was even asked who I have been talking to or reading or researching.

You have to ask yourself Does the Organization, The Brothers, Jehoeber do anything for my benefit of my family and net worth? If the answer is No, then, you need to change plans. Do things that benefit you financially and for your family. If it's one sided.. it's time to leave!
