Is that why Peter said "Lord where would we go away to?" Some may want to, but as you say, the only other way is out, which must be a frightening prospect.

If you die, you will not be allowed to marry in the new world....(?)
by FreeofGuilt inwell, lets just say this was one of my major hangups when i was w/ the jws.. to think that the one you loved, & were married to, or if you were single never married before, & then making it to the new world not being able to marry again was such a horrifying concept..!
i remember some pics being changed on the front pages of literature, or illustrations being changed inside of literature where once there were a wife & children meeting their father/husband in the graveyard after resurrection, & then they took the illustrations away, with maybe a whole family just welcoming back one of their children from the grave.
well, i asked my mom over & over about this teaching, & she told me to ask the brothers... the brothers said that i would just have to have faith that things would workout in the resurrection, or that the society would get new light about the subject, but that i should never question the faithful & discreet slave.

This is my BIG BUGBEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It all seems to hinge on the fact that Jesus was talking to those with the chance of becoming the heavenly class in those quoted verses from the NT, where they would literally become like angels, who it would appear are without gender. Noone really knows what the outcome is for those of the other sheep, but one is meant to remember that Jehovah is "opening his hand and satisfying the desire pf every living thing" so we have to be patient and wait and see. My husband was married previously and widowed, but I would want him with me in the new order. It's all too complicated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JW relationship with a Study?
by MoonChikDayi ini'm currently taking book study and still am not sure about completely pursuing the religion, but am openly analyzing what i am learning.
i am currently dating a jw... my question is how is it looked upon when a jw dates a "study" ?
is it allowed by the elders or will he be shunned?

Hi Moon,
I would say go with it for a while and see where it leads you. At 17, I hate to say it, not all relationships work out and you would be stuck in a religion where you would be only able to marry a fellow believer, casual dating tends to be frowned upon. But this may suit you, we don't know you.

Last night I asked about getting reinstated...
by Gadget inafter the meeting last night italked to some of the elders in the car park, and asked what more i neede to do to get reinstated.
they commended me on the things i've been doing (?
), and said the main point for reinstating would be how much contact i've been having with my fiance, who's still a wittness.

I hope it works out for you both. I suppose it boils down to who you want to keep happy and how much trouble you could stand to cause. I tend to follow the line of least resistance, which isn't always the best thing to do.

RDW
Almost identical story, but the one I knew also gave new wife all late wifes clothes and belongings, boy were the kids furious, and rightly so I believe. Caused a scandal in the whole area and those close to it didn't enjoy going on the ministry for a while afyer that as it alwasys seemed to come up, they were so well known.
