Ding, WT condemnation of false religion and wolves in sheep's clothing, from the outside looking in, seems like one hundred percent 💯 projection and zero percent self awareness.

How to spot wolves in sheep's clothing!
by BoogerMan inw64 11/1 pp.
645-646 wolves in sheep’s covering - "can you detect them?
how can you avoid becoming their prey?....to his first-century disciples jesus sounded a warning that applies to us today with even greater force: “look out that you are not misled; for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘i am he [anointed],’ and, ‘the due time has approached.’ do not go after them.” (luke 21:8) .

you feel so sorry for this poor woman who experienced csa and then the hardheartedness of the elders (what's new there) when she needed genuine love and help.. https://fb.watch/j1qacgxphi/.

The Waters of Babylon Are Drying Up (Now in Denmark)
by Sea Breeze inthe drying up of babylon's waters is a profound biblical motif that illustrates the certainty of divine judgment against those who oppose god.
looks like denmark is starting to hear the outcry of wt victims.

What are the accusations by Ekstra Bladet and what are the reasons for an arm of government to launch an investigation? The letter claims false accusations but doesn't say what they are.

Rutherford harrassed the other governments as well. Although he died in 1942, his policies of making the WT a pain in the arse wherever it was continued. So much so that they were the only religion to be banned by the Australian government. That happened in 1943.
I'm surprised Australian JWs don't harp on that fact. I've never heard about it from them. I only found out about it on here.

JWs and Christmas
by Rnadomchris83 ini have been lurking around here for years.
i'm not a witness, but my in-laws are.
my wife grew up in it but was never baptized.

"Anyway, her husband came over for the weekly visit last night. She stated that on (JW) TikTok there are talks of them allowing people to celebrate Christmas..."
Suddenly, the possibility that the WT may allow such things makes sense! It allows people like your in-laws to invite estranged or distant family to a family gathering where they can take the hold of the narrative. That makes sense in the broader world, but in America and Canada, Thanksgiving would be the appropriate holiday to commandeer. Bethel could provide the appropriate "discussion" topics at the table and an appropriate form of prayer* before the meal.
* Not Grace; they don't believe in grace 😉

2024 Annual Meeting Doctrinal Change
by Listener ina change to their doctrine came from jackson.
this isn't a transcript of his whole speech but i thought i would try and get some of his main speech in writing.. at around 1hr26 minutes he starts talking about some dangerous thinking in feeling there is some wiggle room in regards to the schedule for the gt.
but you see, we need to be careful about what we are thinking about the number of anointed ones left on earth.

blondie, I was scratching my head about their estimate of how long Noah took to build the Ark when I read that article in the 90s. I knew about the 120 years and that they claim to be the new ark and saw that they could claim the new ark could take 120 years to get everyone in, thus giving themselves a new date of 2034.
They never did though. Perhaps even they got sick of date setting.

I don't see how WT can cash in on this* nor how individual JWs can wonder if this is the big A. Bushfires don't make up much of the end times literature.
* Prophetically speaking, that is. Of course they'll have their hand out, claiming they will use any proffered funds for disaster relief. 🙄

Do children still get destroyed at Armageddon?
by Anony Mous ini know back in the day, that was taught, that if the parents were going to be destroyed, so would the children.
i just can't easily find reference to anything.
this thinking has been used to justify some egregious behavior towards children and their parents such as exclusion of children from jw family - why worry, the end is near, all will work itself out then - the end didn't come though.

Mikejw - “New light is everyone makes it through Armageddon unless really bad.”
Vidiot: "At that point, YTF even bother with Armageddon?"
It does seem like the whole exercise is somewhat flawed. 🤔

What the org SAYS, but what it really MEANS!
by BoogerMan inw16 april p. 9 par.
17 being faithful gullible leads to god’s the cult's approval - thousands of young christian men and women are willingly sacrificing marriage or are not having children - at least for now - in order to serve jehovah the borg to the full.
older ones too may be sacrificing the time they could otherwise spend with their children and grandchildren in order to work on theocratic construction projects supply free labour or to attend the school for kingdom evangelizers receive deeper indoctrination and to serve in areas where the need for kingdom publishers more suckers is greater.

Are they still flogging that tired old horse 🐎 of not getting married and having children? They wouldn't have the numbers they have today if former generations of JWs hadn't disobeyed Bethel and created a generation or two of "born-ins".

"Fixed that for you. 😏"
Admittedly, I'm probably being a bit too circumspect in my statements 🤔 That's the second statement of mine you've had to fix! 😳
Back to the subject, did the British parliament really just vote against a full inquiry into this whole grooming gang issue? 😲
