just got off the phone with my sister.............she started talking about an ex-elder in her congregation and his "apostate" attitude, so i asked her what she considered "apostacy".
she says that's when you openly talk against the troof........i said "the bible says it's when someone denies jesus as having come in the flesh.".
anyway, we started talking about the pedophile problem within the organization and the people who have been disfellowshipped for speaking out about it.
Exact same Stepford response. Satan has control. It is apostates with an axe to grind. They want to take down Jehovah's earthly borganization. Yada, Yada, Yada.
They must have secret meetings where they inject all dubs brains with the same answers. That way they show a united front.
UGH!
Poor Mary. I have been listening to that for the last two years, since I found this site and started questioning stuff.
this is one you cannot miss!.

Yiz...are you working? How can you afford to go to an ex-JW convention (especially when you never were a JW) when you live in a shelter? Is the shelter paying your way?
Just curious.....
BTW, how is the job hunt going?
i'm off tomorrow for my first physical in 10 years (or is it 12?).
and i'm seriously nervous.
i don't care much for doctors, i've had some bad experiences in the past that's kind of put me off.
When I was a kid, about 13, my parents were janitors (they were being good little JWs) and one of the offices they cleaned was an OB/GYN. I can remember looking at the examining table and trying to figure it out. I knew what it was for and I knew what was being examined, but I couldn't figure out the exact mechanics. So I thought about it and I thought this was the only way it could work. The table was for the doctor. He had to lie on his back while the woman stood up in the stirrups (I mean what else would they be for?) and she would brace herself by holding on to the ceiling tiles. Made perfect sense to me.
ROTFLMAO!!
{{Big Tex, Nina}}
Last night, on The King of Queens, the wife goes to see the OB/GYN. My husband looked at the table and said "That is what you have been talking about, huh?"
I have tried to explain what happens, he won't listen. No kids, so no need for him to go. He almost got to see it.
Like Rayvn, I have gone, told the doc my symtoms, what I thought it was and 9 times out of 10 they agree. That is scary. I hate being right on that stuff. I want them to tell me I am wrong.
Anyway, I hope you are fine. I am sure you will be.
Hugs.
Tina
i have noticed that when the ladies post pictures of "hunks" these guys have no body hair.
when i was a gymnast many of the guys would cut their hair real short and shave their chests and stomachs and oil them to get a better, more defined look.
i always thought chest hair was "manly" so i never did it.
He keeps the downstairs area well trimmed , but his arms and leggs are kinda thick

My husband has leg hair, chest hair and facial hair. I like a hairy chest.
My mom's Iraqi ex-husband had hair everywhere except the top of his head. His back hair was from the top of his head to his waistline (that is as far as I saw...). UGH!! He could have made blankets from it.
Alpacas had nothing on him.
alright who here has one of those pesky nieghbors to deal with?
i have mine across the street and boy are they a hoot.
they crank about everything.
I have my digital camera ready now. Problem is with all the rain in the midwest we have had very few barbeques. All have ended up inside because of the weather.
I am ready though.
ok, i won't give his name, but he is a major with an engineer unit in iraq.
here's what he has to say on iraq, i've highlighted a few interesting points.
it has been a while since i have written to my friends about what's really going on here in iraq.
*HEAVY Sigh*
Yeru, don't let the left-wing wacko's get you down. Gosh, I hope that wasn't rude.
(Walks out, biting nails, wondering if she is sensitive enough for all the kind, sensitive types on the board lately)
I wonder if I put a smilie face....would people see the sarcasim....
(walks out again, wondering where her skunk is so she can breed with it)

Hmmm...I think with all the threads about *niceness* recently, *some* of you might look in the mirror...
Oh, that's right. This is a political thread. It is ok to be *rude*. *Rude* being subjective of course. Just don't do it on a bible type thread....
Hi Lew. Welcome back. I hope you do stay for chips and salsa.

i think most of us at some time have had the experience of overhearing a conversation while travelling, or in a coffee shop, and realizing that we are listening to a crafty jw in the middle of preaching.
you know the type of thing, "wont it be nice when god steps in and clears up all these problems", problems incidentally that they have just spent the past thirty minutes listing to their hapless listeners in morbid detail.
no-one cherishes their collection of grim news quite like a jw.
I want an expresso....
in may my beloved grandmother passed away at the age of 87. it was a long struggle for her, and i thought i was dealing with her death pretty well.
well yesterday, i went to my jw parents for a visit (had not been there in several months.
) the first thing mom wanted me to do was to look in my grandmother's personal possessions to see if was there anything i wanted.

My dad died about 1 1/2 years ago. His funeral was arranged by his best friend and sister (neither were JWs).
At the funeral home, during the *viewing*, my two 1/2 brothers, ages 19 and 23, brought cameras. They took so many pics of my dad in the coffin I almost puked. I had never saw anyone, JW or not, do that.
These two young men are not JW. Never have been.
I don't think the practice has anything to do with JWism. Don't what is has to do with except an inability to let go. I was CREEPED out.
My JW uncle died 2 years ago. Not one photo of him lying in the coffin (that I know of). There were quite a few people with cameras taking pics of all the family they haven't seen in years. (out in the reception area)
