I was df'd for apostasy. First, I couldn't keep my mouth shut about the UN/NGO scandal, and second I refused to take down the Bible research site I was building on the net. It was actually the second thing that did me in, but I didn't care. I couldn't bring myself to continually swallow their kool-aid anymore.

Anyone here been Dfd for 'apostacy'?
by Julia Orwell injust wanna know.
i'm doing the fade but i reckon my big mouth could get me dfd.
i know plenty who've been dfd for fornication/adultery, but never met one dfd for speaking the truth.

What happened immediately after your Judicial Committee was over?
by civicsi00 inwhenever i went to my judicial committee (over 3 years ago), the elders opened with a prayer for jehbooboo's guidance.
then they followed up with their loyalty question, "do you believe in the faithful and discreet slave?".
of course i answered "no", and shortly thereafter i handed over my disassociation letter.

My JC was almost nine years ago. I knew I didn't HAVE TO go, but I did anyway. Why? Because I knew it would be the very last time I could present my case, and maybe -- even if it were a long shot -- just maybe, something I said would plant a seed in one of their minds and grow. It is also the same reason I appealed and went to my appeal committee (where there would be SIX elders to potentially plant a seed in).
I knew it would be the last chance ever that any of them would listen to anything I said, so I ran with it.

Did you ever do something so stupid you could have died?
by NewYork44M inmy experience, and shame on me.
in a snowstorm in pa on a highway, i ran out of gas.. this was one of many mistakes for the evening.
the general rule is that a person should stay in the car and wait for help.

My stupidest thing: At 20 years old I had been DF'd for smoking and was hanging with the wrong crowd. We all took a bunch of LSD, got into a car on a rainy night, and hit the highway at top speeds. During the drive my boyfriend at the time was hallucinating and trying to jump out of the car, the DRIVER was having a war between God and the devil, and his girlfriend was laughing her fool head off.
It's a wonder any of us made it home alive that night.
LSD = BAD!

I'm writing a DA letter...need advise
by nolongerconfused inhello, so i have decided to da myself and will write a da letter to the body of elders.... do you have any ideas of what i can include in this letter or samples?...
i really want to make a huge impact with this letter.. i appreciate your help everyone....

I think the only way to make an impact is this: Get all the names and addresses of everyone in your congregation. Then, anonymously, write up a document making your points and send them all at once to everyone. THAT will get people talking and many of them thinking.
As for DA'ing yourself, like 00Dad said, you're only playing by their rules, and their rules are meaningless. Just simply stop going to the meetings. You don't owe anyone any kind of explanation.

Does Satan approve of Jehovah's Witnesses' understanding of "proper hate"
by I_love_Jeff indoes jehovah's witnesses' understanding of "proper hate" justify satan's cause?
-
JWOP
Satan is the mastermind behind the Jehovah's Witness religion. That's why they preach hate through their shunning, preach human sacrifice through their blood doctrine, and preach lies through the theocratic warfare teaching. They have their own brand of spiritism and channel. Satan's hand prints are ALL OVER this denomination.
It gives me the creeps to think I was born and raised in it!

I left in 2004. Was df'd for apostasy because I refused to dismantle my online Bible website. They took the most offense that my site recommended offering only the Bible instead of Watchtower literature.

Do Witnesses really want to go to the meetings?
by BU2B indo witnesses really want to go to the meetings?
or do they just go because they feel they must to get into the new world.
or is it just peer pressure or pressure of elders?

I hated going because it was just so darned boring. I swear the public talks were on a 5 year cycle. Same old stuff, nothing new. Watchtower studies were just as bad: No imagination, no interesting alternative points of view, just a parroting of the paragraphs.
I had myself convinced that it had to be that way so that those who were new, very young, or mentally slower wouldn't get left behind on the teachings.
Nine years out, and I still don't miss those boring, rote meetings!

So...why is taking blood essentially viewed as unforgivable by the WT?
by sd-7 inbeen hearing about this 'grey's anatomy' episode, and while i didn't see it, it brought up a question i wanted to throw out there, albeit a long-winded one, as is my usual nature.. the fact that people would rather die than take blood, as if...if they take it, they're doomed for sure to not make the new system--it doesn't make sense to me.
people both in the organization and the bible stories are forgiven for heinous crimes, murder, adultery, child sacrifice, everything up to and including denying jesus altogether.
(let's not forget child molestation and rape, apparently...) so why does it seem like this one act is presented to jws as one that's never to be forgiven?.
-
JWOP
The Watchtower Society is run by Satan. Satan prefers human sacrifice. Ergo, to allow blood transfusions would be to undo the doctrine of human sacrifice. That's why it's so unforgivable in that satanic religion.
