Are JWs trying to make dysfunctional kids and destroy their ability to live normal lives?
by C0ntr013r inare jws trying to make dysfunctional kids that wont "fit" in normal society so they will "return to jehovah"?
because there have been many stories about young people who have been out in the world only to find how bad it was and how correct the org was.. a good jw kid with "good" jw parents will have many big issues, some examples:.
fear of demons (fear, misfit).

They'll mention their appreciation for childless couples and seniors and singles once a year in a watchtower study article and feel they've covered all the bases. -

Reliable source - new round of US Bethel layoffs coming soon
by sir82 inwas talking to an ex-bethelite who is still very well-connected to those in the ivory tower.. he says that there will soon be a(nother) large number of us bethelites who will be "reassigned to the field" as pioneers and special pioneers.. he did not give his source, but he is pretty reliable.
incidentally, he was "reassigned to the field" in the last big purge about 7 years ago.. i imagine those so reassigned would be pretty teed off.
let go just before the golden lakeshore palace was completed..

I think they are starting to realize, finally, that their real growth is coming from kids born into it. Their recent child centered indoctrination seems to be actually encouraging witnesses to have kids. They're becoming more Mormon every day. Pretty soon it will be 'you get your own 100 acres of paradise if you have 6 kids!'

Why Is This New Batch of Governing Body Members So Stupid?
by Brokeback Watchtower inwell there are lots of reason for sure, denial, delusion, wishful thinking, ego maniac, infantile understanding of ancient writings, satanophobia, xenophobia, out of touch with reality, limited choices scrapping the bottom of the barrel, and many more.. listen to this ted talk and see if you can pick out something that helps explain why these guys are such ass holes:.
organizations are often run according to the superchicken model, where the value is placed on star employees who outperform others.
and yet, this isnt what drives the most high-achieving teams.

Now that the 'anointed' are getting either too elderly to be promoted or judged insane for saying they are anointed cuz they're too young,....pickings are getting slim. 'The best,' of the anointed men who would become the GB, are no longer so good. You have men dying on a desert island. The last ones to become the leaders are not going to be as good as the first ones who were natural leaders.
Also I was thinking, what does it take these days to be a true believer fundamentalist witness? Back when GB 1.0 was being educated, evolution was barely taught in school. GB 2.0 would have been much more exposed to it, and for a true believer witness to survive, it takes a lot of shutting down the mind and a more rigid personality. These guys have always followed the rules to a t, to be promoted. Some of the nice elders all of us have known were probably doubters, more merciful, less legalistic. That's not the type of elders these guys are. They have been dogmatically rigid their whole lives and have chosen to be ignorant and purposely devalued education because it is a threat to their fundamentalist faith.

For those who gave their lives
by Diogenesister insorry if this is a bit of a bummer, folks, but i am feeling really down about this and had to post.
i took my life in my hands and checked out jw.org, initially to find out what the go was regarding the sarah as satan posts and the patronus spell lion ( although i was nearly crying with laughter when i real that all along the watchtower (spiritualist harry potter reading) flash of writing department madness, well the posts about it anyway.. anyway what made me feel so bad was something about being good to full time long term service people..in the caleb and sophia section for gods sake!
it was this sad picture of two elderly publishers ( god what a word!

Agreed, completely.
There are a lot of judgmental people in the org, but this is usually caused by the very high level of insecurity the org produces in them.
There are many wonderful people as well who are just trying their best. They've thrown their lives away, and been taken for a ride. Hopefully found some good friends on the way and enjoyed it in parts.

A difficult yet necessary decision
by Brother Jeramy inthe past five weeks have been perhaps the most painful in my life as a witness.. some months ago a young man (i'd say in his late thirties or early forties) began attending meetings at my kingdom hall.
he had just moved to my area from another state.
he had disassociated himself from his home congregation many years back, when he was 20 years old and going through many of the typical trials and temptations most young men experience.. two of the elders met with him initially, and they later shared the details with the body of elders.

Jeramy, your words above are faith strengthening for me! Thank you.
I am so happy that you have contacts that are dissidents and will be faithful friends, as well as Christians not associated with the witnesses. I'll pray for strength for you to deal with the traumas in the weeks ahead. It won't be easy. But you are a person of fortitude. Your walls are strong, you will not easily be crumbled.

Except jw tv won't have women at the desk anytime soon. And when they finally do, she will be interviewed along with her husband because they were missionaries or something.
