i have a large collection of books, some fairly rare.

I collect meteorites. I've got around 130 different ones right now including pieces of the moon, Mars, asteroids, and commets. I've also got a decent fossil collection inclduing a few hundred that my wife and I have found ourselves.

i was a baptized jw, so now i, to the best of my understanding, am regarded as an apostate by jw's in good standing.. my daughter was never baptized, but she so wants to be an apostate that i have taken pity on her and decided to find out if she qualifies anyway.
she was brought up as a jw.
after i left her dad, she mostly lived with him so that the indoctrination could continue.. she lost her religion anyway, so is there any hope for her to be considered an apostate.
I don't know about that. I was never baptized but all the local JW's avoid me like the plague. Its actually kind of fun though! Talk about watching people squirm just by you being happy.

i am thinking about starting to take some courses, working toward my degree.
i would appreciate some feedback.. on the one hand, i have made a successful career for myself as a highly paid computer professional, working for a variety of prominent companies here in the usa over the last 12 years.
this, in spite of not going to college for reasons that you all understand.. to date, the only companies that cared that i did not have a degree, once i had a few years experience, were companies that worked with universities and higher education products.
My sig file comes from Baba O'Riley by The Who. Great song. I can't tell you how many times I had that part going through my head while sitting in the back room being counseled.
I'm somewhat in IT also. I really don't think certifications help that much. I'm A+, Network+, Cisco CCNA, CCDA, & CSE (Cisco Sales Expert). Granted I live in SW Indiana but its near impossible to find work out here. The town I live in has around 100,000-150,000 people in it and on a good week there might be 3 jobs in the newspaper. If anyone knows of any jobs, anywhere, that a person with a couple years experience (though not always employed due to layoffs and what not) with the above mentioned certifications can get a job let me know as I'm interested in it.
As for what I've heard about ASU, great school for planetary sciences. Like I said, I'd just about kill someone to get full scholarship there. Seeing how well IT is working out I'm heading back to Uni. of Southern Indiana for geology this semester. I'm hoping to eventually get into planetary and work in a research lab.

If you don't do it I am coming out to Arizona and kicking your butt. I would kill to have free tuition to ASU. If you don't take it, please quit your job and recomend me so that I can get the tuition as well as pay check.

well after lurking for a year i figure it's time to start giving back and geting views on my own thoughts, here we go.
my wife (a jw i'm not)was saying lastnight that she felt bad because she only got 2 hrs this month so far (going out all day today).

an interesting situation happened to me yesterday.
i used to work for a company that employed about 30+ jw's of.
i always kept in touch with the non-jw co-workers, and when i left, i began sending.
So tell her to take a flying leap and then send her a Christmas card.
