  hello.

  does anyone have (or know where i can find) a pdf of the book entitled, what pastor russell said?.

  there are several links online but they are all dead or broken, including the one at mostholyfaith.com, which has all the questions and answers but some of them fail to work.. thank you very much..

  It has to do with the BIble Students, at least the author believes it does. In reality it has to do with ONE Bible Students david Rice, (in the picture) Faithbuilders Fellowship is actually one man, David Rice. so the date is not held to by ALL Bible Students, personally I don't know anyonbe who has actually accepted it, but I understand he has either convince some that it is right or convince some that C.T. Russell's chronology is wrong.

  In any event, I e-mailed David Rice and this is what he said:

  Dear Bro. Rolando -- Thank you for the notification, I had no idea. I think I
  may remember who that would have been, quite surprised we made enough of an
  impression to merit such attention from him. I believe he was a gentleman from
  the "Marantha booth" -- his reference that I was the only one there all day
  suggests he was also there all day, in order to observe that, and thus an
  exhibitor as well. -- Bro. David

  yesterday i had lunch with my parents.

  now for as long as i can remember, my mom especially has had the mindset of armaggedon being right around the corner, any minute now, etc.. now......they are talking that "things are some years" away now.. is there another change in the works?

  instead of it being imminent now it's years away???

  There were no casualties in the blast, which created a small crater on the church's concrete fence, police said.
  
  Meanwhile, police diffused a bomb planted near an Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) church in the same town.
  
  A radio dzMM report said the bomb was found almost an hour after the blast at the Jehovah's Witnesses Church.

  i honestly believe that the watch tower's insistence in silencing disent will eventually destroy it.

  no one knows at this point how many doubters and closet apostates are still inside.

  and the wt itself is unable to identify most of them.

  What are you doing for Turkey Day and Black Friday?

  happy turkey day everyone... the one thing i can be grateful about this year is that i am over a year out of the borg.... that was a huge milestone.. i have only distant relatives close by and wont be able to travel this year to be with my brothers (who live 5 and 8 hours away) or mom (11 hours away).

  just no time or money to travel this year.. i did receive an invitation to spend turkey day dinner with a jwder and their family, but this year i think i am just going to coccoon the next couple of days... .

  (i am very very grateful that they thought of me to extend the invite.

  i was struck by a quote in a very recent watchtower claiming that wts publications are now part of the bible.

  quite a bold statement.. how about these two quotes beside each other:.

  we would not refuse to treat one as a brother because he did not believe the society is the lord's channel.

  How far away from their original beliefs are JW's?

  That depends on how far back you want to go. If you are comparing Russell and Rutherford they are apples and oranges, if you are comparing Rutherford and the Watchtower today, they are somewhat similiar. The Witnesses have contained much of what Judge Rutherford taught, that they are God's chosen people, God's organization, that all religions are of the devil, etc. Having said that, the Society has often painted themselves in a corner by claiming that God chose them in 1919 and restored pure christianity, but even what was taught in 1919 is no longer believed today.
