I agree. Door to door salepeople are basically entering a persons private area. A prescreening would be good.

by frankiespeakin inpeople going door to door uninvited should be required to get a licence and sercurity check if they are going door to door and required to show it on demand while engaged in the door to door work.. after all it is a perfect stranger for the most part who could be an imposter or maybe even a violent criminal or rapist.
no one convicted of sexual molestation or violent crimes should be given a permit.
an added benifit would be less people knocking on your door trying to sell you something be it a vaacum cleaner or armegeddon life insurance protection.. what is your opinon?.

the theory of major evolution is crap!

I just want a divorce!
by bornfree123 inhi there, this is my first post, but i've been buzzing around this site for years.. i got married at 18, hubby was 20, i was a regular pioneer and we were talking about serving in bethel.
fast forward - i left in 2004 after a 5 year battle with my conscience, family and friends who kept insisting that i was just "weak and needed to have another bible study".
however hubby and i stayed together although it was kinda on the understanding that we would just not talk about it.

Infinity and god - why wait to create the universe?
by Simon inhere's the problem with infinity ... we can't comprehend it.. it's bad enough when it's space, but when it's time as well and then we throw in some all powerful creature supposedly existing forever ... well, it just doesn't make sense and raises questions.. such as why wait?
why didn't god create the universe the day before he did?
or the day before that?

God waited an infinity before he created the universe. If he hadn't waited so long, the universe could have been built and run its course an infinity ago (infinity contains many other infinities, likely an infinity of infinities). We wouldn't even be here, anymore. See the problem w an infinite god?

The cambrian period was about 40,000,000 yrs long. A lot can happen. Heck, i can't even imagine how long that is. 'Course, the cambrian period issue is moot, anyway, since you apparently don't believe in it.

by JeffJ ini was just trying to reach the end of the internet and found a great database of dmca filings over at chillingeffects.org.. the society's lawyers look like they have been busy lately.. some of them are pretty enlightening.
there are a couple apps in google marketplace that were poaching off jw.org.. they look like ones that would be made by a well meaning witness.
just imagine their reaction when they got the "cease and desist" notice and saw it came from the borg.. sorry if people were aware of this site already.
