  jehovah’s witnesses boast that theirs is a “spirit-directed organization”.. see w88 3/1 pp.

  10-17 (my life in jehovah’s spirit-directed organization).

  they believe that their deceased founder, charles taze russell (who faced legal action by his wife for inappropriate behavior in his maids bedroom), is directing the modern-day work of jehovah’s witnesses.. after the founder, c t russell died, it was stated that he was still directing the work from heaven.. "though pastor russell has passed beyond the veil, he is still managing every feature of the harvest work.

  Of course, Jesus did not tell us that his faithful slave would produce perfect spiritual food.

  I thought a perfect Jesus would lead his "slave" to produce perfect food, not imperfect garbage. So where are they getting that food. The nearest alley garbage dumpster?

  gossip

  i was once was told by an jw elder it was a rule not to gossip or swear as it could harm someone, but i guess the new light allows this.

  it was bad enough when they were calling people worldly now i heard a jw gossiping about someone and it was mean.just another reason i would never go back.

  I heard that B.S. more than I care to remember.

  Elders have to back elders even when they are wrong.

  My now deceased father was an elder in the manner of what some have termed a JW heavy. He was not typical though. He was one that the other elders hated because so many of the lowly and downtrodden would come to him for help when they were mistreated. He also was not afraid to refuse to back any elder at any level in the JW's if they were wrong. as he taught me "There is no wrong way to be right, and no right way to be wrong". I still have people come to me and tell me how he helped them.

  My opinion: if I were twice the man I am, I'd still be half the man he was. And that wasn't because of any JW beliefs, it was because that's the kind of man he was by nature.

  The largest driver of gossip amongst the JW's in my opinion is the fact that Not. One. Single. One. of them has the remotest clue what personal space is, or any respect for another persons boundaries.

  If you try to keep even a small amount of your private life private then YOU WILL be the subject of gossip wondering what secret sin you are guilty of hiding and when you will be found out, even IF you are completely in compliance with The Bible. And if you are innocent of any sin they will make one up that will eventually be gossiped about to the elders and any denial or proclamation of innocence will be considered proof you are not repentant.

  So glad I no longer run their hamster wheel.

  watchtower put out some highlights for the 2024 service year:.

  average publishers: 8,828,124. peak publishers: 9,043,460. a 43.2 percent increase in "those who returned to jehovah", meaning 65,816 were reinstated.

  baptized: 296,267. memorial attendance: 21,119,442. missing stat: number of partakers .. womp womp.

  I've never heard of having to download a specific app to report it though. Not here in the UK anyway.

  The Jehovah's Witness app that most members are being guilted into using to report their ministry is called "NW Publisher" (New World Publisher), which allows them to easily submit field service reports, view meeting assignments, and access congregation information directly on their phones.

  They asked me for my email address so they could send me a 'personal invitation' to download the app, but when I refused they were miffed.

  Same here. My answer was thanks but no thanks, after all the creators of that app stated they were not doing it with the backing of jay double you dot org and it was not endorsed by that website so in "obedience" to governing body orders about using websites not endorsed by the governing body I declined to download anything from that site. You would have thought I had offered one of their first born to Dagon or Chemosh something.

  PRESIDENTIAL predictions...let the prognosticators have their say!

  my only prowess in making predictions stems from my 77-years of life in the united statesgrowing up under president truman, eisenhower, kennedy, nixon, .....etc.

  etc.i was a widdle kid sitting in front of a tiny black and white tv set when the very first broadcastsof political conventions, deal-making, debates (nixon vs kennedy), assassinations (jfk, rfk, martin luther king, etc.

  ) i grew up with duck and cover under my elementary schooldesk, the cold war, the iron curtain, the korean war, the vietnam war and i went to federal prisonas a jw conscientious objector while hippies, flower children, political activists protested and universitystudents were fired up on by troops.i grew up reading newspapers (2 of them).

  Trump will win. Kamalaladingdong, will 25th amendment buy-dem, then "investigate" the 2020 election and declare Trump really did win that election and mandate he is termed out and cannot be President for a "third" term.

  Loss of a Jehovah’s Witness who I considered a friend

  i have known a jehovah’s witness for approximately 15 years and i have considered her a friend although i know that jehovah’s witnesses cannot have friends who are not jehovah’s witnesses.

  approximately two years ago, i was going through a very difficult time and i asked my friend if we could have bible study.

  she said yes and we have been studying the bible since.

  Conducting Bible studies is not about spreading Bible truths, no ... is only about conversion. And when it is not happening, Witnesses are told to move on to a more deserving souls.

  That is the truth, and all the while the JW will brazenly lie to your face and tell you that their purpose is not conversion, but rather only encouraging bible study and information.

  he will not pressure her to engage in sexual acts that make her feel uncomfortable, that are demeaning, or that bother her conscience..... the bible does not provide details as to what sexual practices between a husband and a wife should be considered clean or unclean.

  a christian couple must make decisions that reflect their resolve to honor jehovah, to please each other, and to maintain a clean conscience.

  generally speaking, a couple would not discuss with others this intimate aspect of their marriage..
