  Oh... the trailers are ugly. When I first read your title, I thought "ugly" was in reference to the tornado victims... and was thinking WHAT A LOUSY JERK!

  So trailers aren't the prettiest form of temporary housing. I'm sure the citizens would prefer them to a tent or a bed in a school gym.

  i moved on sat...fell & fractured my wrist..... it is in a caste,thank god it is the ,left one.... i am all settles in with the help of my daughter ,sonin law,grandkids.. i was at the hospital for hours....was able to talk to doc,nurse,why.

  they must not shut the door on the jw's as they have been doing.. they were very interesting took my card to give the ones they have.

  been listening to.....so i feel good came out of bad....

  Does Anyone know what congregation RBC is?

  there seems to be some kind of a trend, i think of jw congregations separating from the authority of the watchtower if the elders vote for it.. i'm trying to get more information about what this is and whether or not the wt hq sanctions is, ever.. thanks for any info,.

  My understanding was that, according to the Bible, "the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23) When you die, your slate is wiped clean, regardless of whether you are in Good Standing™ or not.

  If someone was DFd at the time of The Great Tribulation™ / Armageddon™, then that's a different story - you were, apparently, condemned to Gehenna™.

  my husband and i faded/mysteriously disappeared from meetings over a year ago.

  we've had a few visits from elders (where we said very little but thanked them for their time), the last one being when we had some nice jack o lanterns sitting on our porch.

  on saturday, we got letters cordially inviting us to our beheading, i mean, our judicial committee meeting.

  You can get called out on the carpet for much less.

  When we first realized the WTS was full of $h!t, we rightly suspected that putting some harmless seasonal decorations on our front porch would get some attention from the Elders™. It was September, the leaves were starting to change, and we put out a bale of hay, some decorative gourds (no pumpkins), and hung a bunch of colourful maize on the door, tied with a dark orange-red bow.

  A couple of days later, some Elder™'s wife phoned to say she couldn't talk to me anymore because she "heard" that we put out Hallowe'en decorations. I said, "Really?? Whoever told you that is a LIAR, because what we put on our porch has NOTHING to do with Hallowe'en. Everything is harvest related, and I'm really offended that people are so quick to judge me and my family, based on someone's malicious gossip and lies. And while I'm on the subject, I don't care if you never speak to me again if you can't even be bothered to find out the truth of a matter before you make up your mind to act on a stupid malicious rumour that you've heard from a liar."

  The sucking up that followed was rather entertaining.

  i've always liked tatoos and disagreed with the wt's stand on them.

  i just turned 42 on may 14 and think its about time i get one.

  nothing drastic, just a small lilly flower on my left shoulder.

  I had a gorgeous tattoo done as I was coming up to my 45th birthday. I still love it and it always gets lots of compliments. At first, Mr Scully thought I'd gone off the deep end, but he was very impressed once it was done.

  Of note, around the time just prior to my second child's birth, Mr Scully and I both requested a card to fill out as soon as possible following the birth. We wanted to have it on hand in the event of an emergency in the delivery room. Our request was denied on the grounds that an unborn child had not taken a breath yet, so if the child had died in utero the card would have been unnecessary.

  We thought it very strange that they didn't want us to be prepared in the event of an emergency situation in the delivery room involving a newborn, in light of the pressure from the WTS to prepare for practically every contingency when it came to blood transfusions.

  Biggest.Waste.Of.Time.Ever.

  I have a teenager who loves this show. The overblown drama, the focus on looks, on wearing the right clothes, hairstyles, hanging around with like-minded idiots, the Queen Bee syndrome, the whole kit and kaboodle. When I hear Snookie's voice and her It's-All-About-Me attitude, it's like dragging fingernails on a chalkboard. She makes me want to pummel her stupid face and stupid hair and annoying voice into a bloody pulp with her stillettos.
