Scully, I've read many reports of paedophile cases perpetrated by JW's. I don't recall a single one perpetrated by a JW while on the door-to-door ministry upon children of the household. I simply don't recall a single one. Perhaps you can remember one?

You don't know how the psychology of paedophiles works. They are PREDATORS. They seek out vulnerable targets. They learn when their targets are most vulnerable. They groom their targets to feel safe around them, to accept and trust them. They are extremely patient. They don't introduce themselves and then immediately sexually assault a child. No, they take their time because the grooming and the "game" excites them - they know how they want their interaction with their target to turn out, but their target doesn't. They fantasize and meticulously plan how they are going to seduce their target, the same way a con artist scams people out of their money.

The contact they make with families and children through the Door-to-Door Ministry™ is only the beginning, just like the JW recruitment (Studying the Bible™) process, grooming a target takes time and patience.

So, I agree with you - the Door-to-Door Ministry™ is not the venue paedophiles use to commit child sexual abuse. It is part of their hunting grounds.

If you were a gipsy and I wrote an article titled "Gipsy Paedophiles", would you not feel offended by the blanket statement, even if the content was discussing only a few cases among the ethnical group?

Except the title of his article is "Pedophiles Knocking" not "JW Pedophiles".

Personally, I think it only fair to the general public to make them aware that some JWs may be knocking on their doors with ulterior motives, other than the obvious one of trying to gain converts to their belief system.

Blood very common in breast milk

There's no point in testing breast milk for blood components because it's well established that one of benefits of breastfeeding is the transference of immune properties (immunoglobulins).

A lot of people fail to logically compute how milk is produced. This is highly simplistic, but it conveys the process sufficiently for most new severely sleep deprived parents to understand.

Nutrients in by mouth --> digested in stomach --> absorbed by intestines --> enter the bloodstream --> blood circulates to mammary glands + stimulation by prolactin and oxytocin from hypothalamus + demands of hungry infant ==> milk production.

Leukocytes are present in all milk produced by mammals (humans and cattle included).

The World Health Organization would have a field day if the WTS ever dared to tell JWs that they couldn't breast feed their babies, or give them milk of any kind. I mean, even the Bible says that " like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation" (1Pet 2:2 ASV).

Besides, breast is best for the WTS, it means spending less money on formula and being able to put those savings in the Contribution Box™.

The claim of "embarrassment" was in the actual document instigating the lawsuit, which I found rather amusing actually. I mean, if you are claiming copyright infringement, what's the point of adding "embarrasment" to your suit. Copyright infringement isn't about subjective / emotional results like embarrassment or being made a laughingstock - it's pretty clear-cut, yes-or-no objectively demonstrable.

Clearly the WTS was pissed that their own words were being used to demonstrate, quite effectively, that they were NOT bearers of truth at all, and they were only too happy to use the legal system to bully one really terrific person into silence.

Oubliette- I thought a witness could not carry a gun or have government jobs?

There are plenty of JWs where I live who work for the government. Decent wages, benefits and job security.

There are also plenty of JWs - some of my own relatives in fact - who use guns for hunting. Carrying a weapon as part of your job is discouraged, because there's a chance that you could become "bloodguilty" in a shooting, but that's such a bogus excuse - because you become just as "bloodguilty" when you are inactive in the Preaching Work™, or if you deprive your husband of his Marital Due™ and he goes out and commits adultery because he just can't keep it in his pants.
