The way they look at it is that if one partner 'withholds sex' from the other, it makes the probability of adultery higher for the 'offended' partner. If that does happen, they may feel compelled to make you share the 'blame'.
It doesn't make sense to me now, surely as adults we should be able to accept the responsibility for our own behaviour.
I also wonder if insinuating themselves into your private bedroom activities is perversely tittillating for some elders.

Is there any mention of this on the JW boards?? I remember a couple of months ago, a link and address was posted for a little JW kid at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children who was being given transfusions by court order. Even though his name and address could not be published in the media, someone on the JW forum published it online. Have any of our secret agents been able to find out info about this father's identity and whereabouts??
I bet he could use some encouragement right now.
The real bizarre part in this is that the court did not feel that the girl qualified to make her own decision regarding medical treatment, and did not consider her to be a "mature minor". Even if the father had stuck to the JW party line, she would have ended up having the transfusions anyway.
He's made a huge sacrifice, and really didn't have to, in going with what his conscience told him was right.

if money was no object for you, you had the space to develop a beautiful landscaped garden, what would you do to design your ideal space, how creative can you be?.
let your imagination roam, would you perhaps incorporate music within your garden theme?
what colour scheme would you go for?
As a child, I used to imagine the Garden of Eden as being something like a huge orchard. Rows up on rows of trees all neatly planted and groomed, each one bearing a different kind of fruit. Adam might have felt a bit lazy one day and rather than strolling to the opposite end of the garden to get that pineapple he wanted for dessert, would settle for the more proximal but rather ordinary Granny Smith apple.
I love Japanese gardens now. My ideal garden would have to include a large koi pond with a carefully arranged area of smooth stones with a serenity fountain. Lots of very simple lines, not too many ornate florae - just a few at various focal points - and keep the colours to a minimum in each focal point. I also like the idea of a moon garden, with only white flowers in it, to reflect the moonlight at night.

i've been depressed big time over all the fights, attacks, flame wars, bickering, complaining and what have you that seems to dominate the board these days.. i've just decided that there is no point in my bringing down myself any further and that i don't have anything of value to offer here, especially since it takes as much emotional effort to insulate myself from my friends behaving badly, that i just can't seem to offer much in the way of positive vibes.. i will check back some time (maybe a month or so0 down the road to see if this place has gotten any more mellow and friendly but until then.... hasta la vista and the best of luck to you.

I understand how you're feeling. The negative vibes have been very powerful the last week or so.
On the other hand..... I disagree wholeheartedly with your statement that you feel you have nothing of value to offer this place. I enjoy reading your posts, and talking with you about your ideas. You certainly DO in my opinion, have much of value to offer. Don't ever forget that.
I'm hoping that you're just going to take a brief siesta to regroup, and then return when you've got the wind back in your sails.

there was a thread a few days ago about elders being up graded to fds status by some out of context crappily applied scripture;do you think they'll explain the absence of god's action with' the fds is still here!.
