  Netflix Live Boxing Event

  when i was in the org it seemed most brothers were very much into football and other sports.

  which looking back makes no sense and makes me wonder why?

  it felt like an overcompensating to be masculine.. shouldn't football be deemed unchristian?

  The Mexican fight was great. One of the best I have ever seen..

  The Jake Paul Mike Tyson fight was pathetic. I don’t think Mike Tyson threw more than 12 punches the entire fight.. it literally looked like Jake was trying not to hurt him.

  Sacred Days

  yesterday was remembrance day/veterans days in canada.

  we had a couple younger half wits in the cong in field service yesterday.

  both are trying to climb the ladder with the entire elder body ready to die in the next 10 years.. i just of thought it was a dick move to go door to door about the merits of fighting for freedom or not fighting on such a sacred day.

  I just of thought it was a dick move to go door to door about the merits of fighting for freedom or not fighting on such a sacred day. Remembrance day/ Christmas/ Easter.............just leave people alone. It does more harm than good.

  The general understanding was that Jesus was the manifestation or seeable version of God in the Old Testament. He was either the word of the Lord or the angel of the Lord, etc., etc..

  People have been arguing over the details of this for the last 2000 years and I really don’t think there’s much point or anything I can add to this to discussion so I really don’t bother anymore.

  The part that I’ve always found quite frightening with the watchtower is there’s no concept or understanding of why people believe what they believe.

  i would like to start a thread on lies that the watchtower and their reps have told.

  surely we all have one or two that truly sticks out in our memories, no matter how much we would like to forget.

  my favorite wt lie: the reason they don't want to release the name of the "scholars" who worked on the new world translation is because they do not want to accept "glory and honor" from others.

  The way they don’t really explain what was really taught prior to 1914 and how many other failed predictions were taught prior to it.

  Once you learn about this , you realize they just cooked the books to arrive at the so called understanding.

  Man, I love reading these old beard threads.

  I just saw the biggest dickhead elder in my former cong with a beard. I know a guy who was studying to be a JW but had a beard and as told he couldn't progress any further with facial hair. All the elders got together and had a meeting about it. After maybe 5 years of attending off and on, he finally just threw in the towel over his issue.

  This was only maybe 2 years ago, not like it is ancient history.

  Why do most Ex jW W‘s seem to be liberal?

  i’m just curious about this dynamic i don’t care personally one way or the other but i do have friends who have chosen to be conservatives and they get totally destroyed on social media pages for their choice.

  it’s almost like a lot of ex jw w become as toxic and his judgmental as jehovah’s witnesses themselves what’s up with that?

  i also know conservative ex jw’s that can do the same so again i’m not leaning one way or the other i’m just noticing factual observations.

  I always considered myself a staunch conservative till covid and I realized the same people who go bananas over a 15 year girl having an abortion because of the sanctity of human life are the same people who in no way shape or form going to inconvenience themselves so you don't miss your cancer biopsy. All rights , no responsibilities.

  Now the same people who amassed giant gun collections and jerk off to guns and ammo because that is what they believe keeps them free are same people who get a boner over cutting aid to Ukraine. A guess actually fighting North Koreans kind of kills the fantasy they are the baddest people on the planet.

  Watching Jordon Peterson in tears over transgender youth while 1.2 million American die of covid.

  Hearing Trump talk about draining the swamp while adding 7.2 trillion to the nation debt.

  I don't think I changed, I think my movement changed and it has become an absolute joke.

  i believe that his involvement in propelling or influencing a leaning toward bible prophecy will unfold.

  how, i can’t say but something tells me that this anomaly and outlier being trump is highly signifiant!

  The pandemic wasn't practically over when Trump left office. The worst days of the pandemic were the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022.

  I just re-watched this video. The shocking part is there is no reference to daughter as being an independent person who is capable of making her own. They didn't seem to need her input on any of this.

  Has anyone ever shown this to an active JW for input. My wife is a total kool-aid drinker expect for the education issue. We actually have a college fund started. I wonder how it would go over.

  The spike in inflation was a product of nearly 15 years of zero percent interest rates, the pandemic stopping the entire world and the entire global economy firing up at once. It happened all over the globe and had nothing to do with who was in power and it is actually trending to where most economist want it to be. Between 2-3 percent.

  The economy is not in the tank. The US economy is operating at full employment.If you want to work, you can find a job.
  

  Kicking out the illegals will not make anything cheaper, it is actually the other way around ( plus it will not happen anyway ).

  Trump added 7.2 trillion to the national debt in his first term. The most of any president without a 9/11, great recession, pandemic to deal with. The most of any peace time president. Per captia Reagan did outspend him but he did it to destroy the Soviet Union, something Trump seems hell bend on recreating.

  The rich will get there tax breaks and your grand kids will pay for it.
