Like Rodney Dangerfield, I GET NO RESPECT!
I started a 'Mystic River' Thread the same day the movie opened.
saw it tonight.
seemed a bit hammy at times, but overall i thought it was very good.
when tom guiry's foot came down on the child's face, i was expecting the camera to cut away, and i was shocked when it didn't; half the theater gasped.

I'm glad that you were along for the whole ride!

You ROLL!
is the society really ok with this or is there like a rebel band of witnesses who set these up and run it against the societys wishes?
i wonder what the word in the kh is about sites like this.
i know when i was a jw i would never have believed i'd see something like this...not legitimately run by jw's anyway.
Hi, flower.
Would this type of man brother interest you?...
Single White JW Male from Ohio Seeks Humble, Submissive (non-sexual submissiveness) Regular Pioneer Sister (or, at least, Regular Auxillary Pioneer) of Any Race (or Gender). I have one blue eye and one brown eye. I have a FOUR-DOOR car that is GREAT for holding FOUR (and sometimes FIVE) passengers for Field Service activity(ies). I have an elder-type briefcase that I bring to the meetings that can hold YOUR literature too! Just think, if you marry me you will never have to carry a briefcase to the meeting again. Ever. I am an aspiring Elder and I give AWESOME #2 Talks Readings. I have gotten 30 consecutive G's on my Speech Counsel Slip. After I read the Watchtower at a Sunday meeting, everyone comes up to me and says, "Brother, your reading was excellent today!" Oh, and NO ONE handles a microphone like me. I've been called the Picasso of mic-handling because I consider it an art form. So, if you can cook, clean, and Pioneer (and if you have proper head coverings when I pray with you), then YOU are the one for ME!
its been quite a while since i was a regular poster here and there are a ton of new people that i dont know so i thought i'd re introduce myself since i've been hanging around a little more regular lately.
hi, i'm flower and i'm an apostate .
i am currently almost 2 years an exjw and talk about a roller coaster ride.
Hi, flower.
I met a girl just like you about (2) years ago. It was about the time I found this forum. I was still an active JW who was researching the Dub religion. Me, you (who was disfellowshipped), badwillie, Mrs. badwillie, Jaden, and another former dub ate at a seafood restaurant in Trenton.
Remember how we were talking and our Waitress overheard us and how SHE was a JW??? Remember how scared you and I were because we were still under the mind-control of the cult? We were thinking that maybe Jehovah was giving us a sign.
HA! NOW look at us!!!
Luv ya!
when i was a jw it was pretty much a weekly thing in the cold weather months for different congregations(actually someone within the congregation) to rent a gym for th bros to play ball.
i really like playing ball.
when i left, that as something i actually missed.
lastcall-
MAN! When I read your post, I was thinking that you and me must've grown up together! It was the same way with basketball here in Philadelphia. Them "brothers" would be acting like it's the NBA!
Then there were always the ones who would jump high enough to grab the rim but not quite able to dunk it. So, instead, they would just grab the rim and hang on it, always bending it out of shape. Morons!
They still run up here in suburban Philly. They yell, argue, get in fisticuffs (rarely, but I've seen it before). Always talking trash.
Oh, and speaking of trash, they always leave their empty water bottles laying around and their trash.
The conclusion of the matter, all things being heard: It's much more fun to play ball w/non-dubbies.
this statement appears to be absolute truth if you were to ask any one of jehovah's witnesses to answer the question: who can one turn to for help in making positive changes in their life?
the literature that they read is peppered with examples of people who once were violent or drug addicted or had other addictions such as alcohol or gambling and are now one of jehovah's witnesses.
first, do you believe that one can only make a change by studying the bible with jws?
LOL @ mortons!
So true. So true!

billy johnson is a jehovah's witness .
who says he takes kids to meetings to supervise them.. .
No one should be forced to do anything!
That about sums it up!

Nosferatu-
As far as the foster kids thing, I have to wonder if JWs engage in this to convert them.
I believe this goes on a lot in the JW religion. I personally know someone who did this in my old congregation.

Nice talk, funch. Gave you a "G." Liked your conclusion.
Maybe next time I can give it in the 'A' school.
