That's how they roll Judge, and that's how they keep on rolling until someone stops them.

the first watchtower for 2025 is out, and immediately, articles 4 and 5 drew my attention.
these will be studied near the memorial season, a time the witnesses prepare for their yearly commemoration of jesus’ death, i will be returning on this articles near at the time.
JWs are not really taught about grace, they are taught faith by works, they've even erased the word from their Bible and replaced it with undeserved kindness which is a very weird way to translate the feelings, mercy and salvation that the heavenly Father extends towards his earthly children.
When I was a witness that word was taboo, we disliked the sound of it, it wasn't a 'JW.org' word.
I really don't understand why they shy away from grace so much. Now that I have children, I can better understand how grace is the ability for a parent to extend pure love, forgiveness and mercy to a wayward child who repents, and even before they have repented, even if it was for murder or whatever. They just don't get it.
he will not pressure her to engage in sexual acts that make her feel uncomfortable, that are demeaning, or that bother her conscience..... the bible does not provide details as to what sexual practices between a husband and a wife should be considered clean or unclean.
a christian couple must make decisions that reflect their resolve to honor jehovah, to please each other, and to maintain a clean conscience.
generally speaking, a couple would not discuss with others this intimate aspect of their marriage..
So you think size matters.....

1 peter 3:7 shows how Roman laws affected the perception of the Bible writers just he same as regular people. Nowhere else in the Bible does it say that women are weaker, only there.
The Romans didn't believe women were physically capable of gymnastics and sports, so they generally didn't allow it. Just like they thought women and girls weren't able for an education like men, their 'weaker' referred to mental weakness as well as physical.
Bible writers were not immune to sexist beliefs held by their culture of the day.
In the 21st century we know better, women live longer than men, that's physical and mental strength, just for starters.
We need to stop quoting verses that are downright wrong as truth, look at the cultural setting of the Bible writers, dig into their laws and customs, to understand why they said certain things. Not everything written down came from God.
didn't jehovah assign christ all power & authority?
so why no mention of him?.
from the january 2025 study watchtower: .
We haven't witnessed Jehovah do anything either, it was only the nation of Israel who did, and the Egyptians I guess.
So they're witnesses of nothing at all then.
i am writing to ask if anyone cares to share their experience and/or offer advice for people leaving.
i was raised in the religion, and both my parents died when i was very young.
i recently stopped associating because my conscience no longer allows me to preach or support the organization.
Being a jw is what it was like to be a catholic in Ireland 40/50 years ago, just without the countrywide infrastructure.
If the GB could get away with magdalene laundries, workhouses, and corporal punishment at meetings they probably would.
january 2025 study watchtower, p. 30 - "at the memorial, let us make it a point to greet not only one another but especially those who have not attended in a long time we have ignored for the previous 12 months!
we want to make them feel welcome!
"it is only because of the ransom that we have forgiveness of our sins.
Is that quote about the ransom for forgiveness of sins in the January WT?
Not Christ's ransom, Jesus' ransom, the Son of God ransom??
So they could be talking about anything, a cow, a sheep, a pigeon?!!
i always felt like i was not a "spiritual" person because i loathed going in field service.
i'm not even sure why i loathed it.
i am very outgoing and can talk to anyone, anytime, about anything.
I enjoyed spending time with friends and coffee breaks, and we had beautiful rural 'territory' to work in. How bad!
can i call you friends, i think so after 23 years posting here.
i am dismayed how jwn is being "dominated" or taken over by a few posters, peppering the comments.
in the past, the admin did not approve of this and did remove some posters from jwn.
Rattigan350 a lot of what you say makes total sense for a corporation, but unfortunately not for the body of Christ, which is what they claim to be.
Their lack of honesty, transparency and humility is the main reason people turn against them, we can all forgive an honest mistake, but when the same mistake is repeated over and over again, with zero apology or repentance for the harm caused, and still demanding absolute obedience, well, then it's time to take a good hard look at the entire corporation and all of it's leaders.
