I really enjoyed Eric's videos and his book which I came across last year, he opened my eyes wide to the WT frauds, and for that I am grateful.

I never found their online meetings helpful, its still much the same as a boring JW meeting, no depth at all.

The recent videos have become very dogmatic, I spoke out about one of them and he wasn't happy with my responses, and I have quit listening to any of his other stuff, I had set up a WhatsApp group for some of us zoomers who wanted proper association but I seem to have been, whats the word....oh, shunned from that group, lol.

i am not aware of how many of you are familiar with the danish case of a jehovah's witness who was hospitalized after a tragic accident where he fell several floors from a scaffolding where he was working.. the patient was admitted to the intensive care unit and was conscious (albeit somewhat confused) for the first three weeks.

When I raised the subject of CA with my pimi parents they said that parents get plenty of reminders from the watchtower to keep theirs children safe, don't leave them go to bathrooms alone etc.

In other words, according to WT, it's the parents fault if children are abused.

Yet they call each other Brother and Sister, coz they're one united family, except for the children, seemingly they're not included in the family.

many people have wondered about the above question and our stand on the forty (40) basic, fundamental truths, and why we make it a requirement for individual jehovah's witnesses to believe these ideas before...before they can join our five (5) discussion boards.well, its called the yorww congregation, isn't it?its a congregation of like believers and persons of like faith.

(matthew 18:20) so they are supposed to agree on their beliefs, exactly as first century christians agreed upon their beliefs.

So much of what Paul said, Jesus didn't say.

Paul never even met Jesus or learned from him directly although they were alive at the same time.

I find that very very odd.

Jesus never set up a congregation, or a hierarchy within it, he did the opposite actually.

Jesus abolished the patriarchy and it's system of worship, his message was of equality for all, Jews, Gentiles, Women, Men and Children.

It's quite refreshing to read ALL the gospels about Jesus, without all the white noise from the congregation letters by many writers, they weren't all from Paul either.

Jesus had barely left earth's orbit before men were already pushing women aside, picking apostles and leaders, making rules and creating an 'us v them' scenario, just like every single other religion today.

Until people understand Jesus real message, its so simple it's almost laughable, they will always be arguing over stupid little things like this post.

i would like to start a thread on lies that the watchtower and their reps have told.

surely we all have one or two that truly sticks out in our memories, no matter how much we would like to forget.

my favorite wt lie: the reason they don't want to release the name of the "scholars" who worked on the new world translation is because they do not want to accept "glory and honor" from others.

Doctrines taught by men rely on the interpretation of translations of copies of copies from ancient languages no longer spoken.

Even if you believed that all the copyists and translators were also under the guidance of holy spirit so the scriptures have been passed down as pure as the day they were written by inspired authors.....I still haven't found one single verse that states that we need to read and teach the written Bible in order to be saved.

There are verses where Jesus is quoted as saying that his followers will worship in spirit and truth. His disciples were commanded to teach all the things they had learnt from Jesus. Word of mouth.

The Bible as we know it, the NT, is never mentioned in any prophecy as being the guide of future Jesus followers. Jesus did not even command his disciples or apostles to write down his teachings. If our salvation depended on all that knowledge surely it would say that somewhere in that book of books???

I don't even see why it's so important to believe in a trinity or not to believe.

The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are all spirits, literally air, wind, breath.

We can't see it, even though it's all around us, to me it's like arguing whether the wind is square, round, oval etc.

Humans try way too hard to visualise everything, but we can't, many times we just need to accept that not everything is seeable, it's not matter. Our brains seem to struggle with that.

Spirits are all around us, they can shape shift, enter and leave physical bodies, (human, snake, donkey, pig), walk through walls and doors, move physical objects in their spirit state etc etc.

I think they could probably do the same with each other whenever they choose to, and undo it when needed.

I doubt very much that anyone's salvation depends on whether you believe in a trinity or not.

That they were only a UN NGO for almost 10 years so that they could use the library......

While their brothers in Malawi were tortured and killed for not buying a party card as per WT instructions.

Yet their brothers in Mexico were allowed by WT to bribe officials in order to get out of military draft.

This particular heinous hypocrisy which directly led to mass torture and murder of their own brothers and sisters and children really affects me, I remember my mother writing one of those "please stop" letters to the president of Malawi, as recommend by WT, I was a child then.

The WT is a sick, evil and destructive corporation, just like a beast.

the first watchtower for 2025 is out, and immediately, articles 4 and 5 drew my attention.

these will be studied near the memorial season, a time the witnesses prepare for their yearly commemoration of jesus’ death, i will be returning on this articles near at the time.

I did a little lazy research and it seems that the word sin as we know it has only been used for about a 1000 years, so what was it before that?

Language evolves and meanings change, this simple fact is quite difficult to comprehend for someone who speaks only his mother tongue. But when people base religious doctrines, and thereby use it to control, enslave and punish others, on the understanding of a meaning of a word, it becomes very very important to learn about the origin of the words, original versus modern meanings, you have to go back to the root.

And even then, by focusing on individual words, we lose sight of the big picture.

The Nag Hammadi library is a great source for looking at everything in the Bible from a different but not contradictory angle. See things from a non Pauline perspective for a change.
