It just doesnāt work like that.
I never really gave it some thought, but you are spot on. This is what the United Nations is all about. It"s not about starting Armageddon to the world or about DESTROYING ALL RELIGION like the JWs believe.
Poor JWs, their hope is based on an interpretation of a Harlot riding a wild beast, written some 2000 years ago. Millions of them have sacrificed everything, family, career, retirement, Their Actual Life, to keep 10 old men in an ivory tower, whom they never met, never sat down with them to determined if they are true or just some wacky old deluded men who believe they are going to rule the Entire Universe.
When you stop and think about it for a few minutes, it's so crazy that we as humans can easily be tricked to believe such impossible things without any proof. Why do we as Humans have that tenancy?
How many Humans do we know that are still alive and have lived at least 1000 years? NONE! Everyone dies. Tops, maybe some get to live close to 120 years, but that's not a life anymore, that's just torture.
There is no proof that humans can live forever. How would God expect us to believe him if he didn't show us the proof that humans can live forever? It's because God isn't there, which is hard to BELIEVE, but the evidence is there that God either has no interest in human and animal life or HE just isn't there. Something that we Humans just can't comprehend. In Both cases God will not intervene and grant a certain group of people everlasting life. It's either ALL or NO ONE, considering all humans are his children.
There a difference between what a person believes vs what can be proven with evidence.
A person can believe ANYTHING HE WANTS, but actually proving it, not with Human evidence like books and human witnesses, but with ACTUAL DIVINE PROOF........there is NO DIVINE PROOF.
So much for the Harlot riding the Wild beast.

I sent the news to a few JW friends, two of which are elders, and they said ABSOLUTELY WILL NEVER HAPPEN, BECAUSE JEHOVAH WILL NOT ALLOW IT.
If in the future the United Nations is dissolved, will the Watchtower continue? How will they flip the Narrative if there is no United Nations to destroy the Harlot.

I always wanted to crunch those numbers but didn't know where to start.
It seems the Watchtower Organization caters to the sexual deviant. And the idea that the Holy Spirit APPOINTS the elders is a huge sign that the uppers running the organization have behavior or characteristics differing from that which is normal
If the Watchtower existed in the past biblical times, it would be Sodom and Gomorrah.
The Governing Body and their minions (elders who obey the orders of their leaders) would be the ones that come out during the cover of night, where no one could see them, and demand the visitors be handed over to be raped.

Hi LHG.
Iām not trying to be hard on anyone trying to save for retirement. Iām all for working hard and saving as much as you can for retirement.
What I really donāt like is YouTube influencers and others that tell people that they need to save an unrealistic amount of money to be able to retire happily.
The average person in the USA who makes at least 60,000 dollars a years will never be able to save 5 million dollars for retirement, unless something Weird happens in their life.
Reason being is Because life happens.
Even if a person goes to College, these days most kids graduate College with a huge debt that will take decades to pay off.
Then thereās marriage, buying your first home with a mortgage for the next 30 years with tons of interest payments going to the lender. Then Kids come around, and according to some surveys, it now cost about $300,000 to raise ONE child in the USA. Imagine two or three or more.

Then thereās health insurance, car insurance for every driver, Life insurance, Home insurance, etc.
Then thereās unexpected Illness. The mother may get cancer the father may get Parkinson, the child may die, and there goes all the hope of saving 5 million dollars.
Then thereās divorce, almost 50 percent of all marriage end up in divorce. That is enough to derail all retirement planes.
Then thereās people like us who were born in a JW household.
Imagine what many on this site, who were Jehovahās Witnesses for years and were scammed into working for free for the Watchtower all their youth. Many here and on exjwreddit woke up in their 40s 50s and 60s, and now find themselves in a very depressing situation because they not only didnāt save enough for retirement, but itās too late to do so. These people will never be able to save 5 MILLION DOLLARS.
Imagine how they feel when someone spurts out nonsense like; āYOU Need to save at least 5 MILLION DOLLARS FOR RETIREMENT.
That can be so discouraging and depressing because most Americans will not be able to attain that amount unless something unusual happens.
Now if thatās the case for Non-Jws, how much more so for Ex-Jws who woke up later in life and are starting off late.
I know a JW couple that never regular pioneer, but both worked in full time jobs. They paid in social security from the time they married while in their teens, and saved a little over 300k in their personal bank. They raised one child, Bought a small house, keep their cars for 30 years before they buy another one. Last I saw them several years ago, they told me that they never had a 401 K but got a check for a little over 3,000 a month from SS plus Medicare.
I always admired them because they were this old couple thatās loved Jehovah, (even if he is not real,)
He never qualified for Ministerial Servant because he had a full time job that came first. They were in their late 80s when I first met them. They would hold hands and walk around the block. He would pull the chair back for her to sit down for breakfast. He would treat her like a teenager he was dating, always buying her presents, making dates with her to take her to breakfast.
I worshiped that couple, I wanted a marriage just like them. I wanted my life to turn out just like theirs. That was my goal, until my situation changed drastically and threw me into a different world.
Sadly they passed away. But they were never in need and they didnāt have 5 MILLION DOLLARS IN RETIREMENT.
I read tons of posts by exjws who were scammed by the Watchtower and now find themselves in a dire situationā¦ā¦.And it Just Breaks my heart to hear their experiences. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of experiences Iāve read in just the past few years. Here is just one example a few days old on reddit.

I agree. I'm 65 and will have to work until I drop dead thanks to those conmen bastards. I will get very little social security because I was a fulltime JW for decades (beginning in my 20's) and never paid much into the system. I slaved fulltime for the cult for decades in misery. I now work very long hours work out of town (four hours from my home). I lose every Sunday night driving four hours to my work city and every Friday night driving back home - getting home about midnight. For the first three years at this job, I slept in my car during the week. For the last two or so years, my employer has let me sleep in an old warehouse at my place of employment. I have zero benefits since I work for a small business (eight employees including the owner and his wife and son). I get zero vacation days and I have no opportunity to retire, so I have nothing to look forward to. I also have no weekends because I have to work on my house all day Saturdays and Sundays to get it ready to sell because I can't afford to live in it.
and yeah, it did fuck me over... and my wife. We talk about it constantly.
That is why I get furious hearing the leaders say, as they've been doing lately, that JWs should be ready to obey instructions no matter how impractical (or something like that) those instructions may sound. Well, I and my wife did obey back in the 80's. We listened and obeyed. It seemed impractical, but we trusted the ones taking the lead. It seemed impractical for us to give up educational and job and inviestment opportunities to knock on doors fulltime unpaid, but we did it. We did what they said... we obeyed... and look what it did for us; it fucked us up. We both have to work fulltime now and hardly ever see each other since I work out of town Mon-Fri, and she has to work on Sundays. I get furious when I see nonJW friends my age who are long retired and doing whatever they whenever they want. I have one friend who has been retired eleven years as of this past October. He retired at 54 and makes more in retirement than my wife and I make together working long hours fulltime. He has a really good retirement and his wife (specialist nurse) has a good one, too. It burns me up. I hate the cult that stole our lives.
These experiences help me to be compassionate, and not say anything that might depress them more than they already are. They canāt change their situation at this point in their life. I make it a point to cry with those who cry. I try very hard to not put unrealistic hope in the minds of people.
Anyway, Iām taking a break from exjw sites for a while. Iāve committed myself to a friend to learn how to fly a helicopter. I donāt know if I will make it because Iām afraid of heights. Tried a plane but I wasn't ready for that. But we will see what happens with a helicopter. Bye!

One thing that has irked me for more than half my 75 years is that while people talk about the importance of retirement planning, almost nobody will give you an answer to "How much do I need?"
So I'll offer an answer. If you are starting your retirement fund today, set a target of $5,000,000.00 (five million US dollars) as your goalGet real man, only 0.1 Percent of American Retirees have managed that.
I don't give a shit about your compound interest theory because a lot of other things factor into reaching 5 million dollars by the time you retire at about 65 or higher. Which only gives you a few years left of life considering the average life span of men and women.
Hell, I'm worth a lot more than 5 million but it's not because I saved and took advantage of compound interest, or because I'm smart, or because I have a degree in Business and majored in finance.
I'm rich because I was Lucky and inherited a Trust Fund.
I don't even manage my assets, I have people a lot smarter than me to manage my fund and grow it.
I have friends who are rich because they started a business and it took off. And they will tell you the same thing, they took a risk and were lucky.
I even know a couple of young girls that just turned 20 that became millionaires by doing only fans. They were lucky also because our social culture is changing and they were lucky to be born at the right time and won the genetic lottery to help them out. They are out of the business because they made enough money to retire at 20.
But I've been around people who work hard, are smart, and still have a struggle saving a couple of million. Because shit happens in life.

Probably the same thing my 78 year old Boomer Grandfather thinks after every Sunday Meeting.
He MUST believe........ All of His support, His network of friends and family is based around what they all believe is a support network.
It would absolutely not benefit Him at this point in his life to walk away and be alone for the remainder of his life.
Suck it up and finish your earthly course is the best option at this point in life. Keep looking forward and don't look back at regrets, because there's nothing one can do about the past. Especially when it wasn't your fault.

Iām really sorry that you just happened to be born at the wrong time.
All my family was also scammed of their youth. My parents have already stopped going to the meetings and field service. My dad is in bad health and my mom worries a lot. It ās hard for them because itās not easy if you donāt start early to build a life. But I help them a lot, so they really don't have to worry about the future.Still they worry!
I on the other hand I was born at the right time. I was born in the Internet age where people World Wide can share their knowledge with each other. Because of that I was never baptized and was able to live a normal life without the Watchtower getting their hands on me.
Getting scammed early in life is just part of our life as a Human Species.
The reason being is because humanity is still ignorant about most things, and we continue to hand down false information to our children and they to their children.
For how many Hundreds of thousands of years did we believe that to appease the Gods we had to sacrifice another human being?
How many thousands of years did we believe the Sun Rotated around the earth?
Thousands of years ago, several men throughout the centuries compiled a collections of stories about an Omniscient, Omnipotent, Benevolent Creator that could grant EVERLASTING LIFE. And humans being human did what they do best..........Scam people for control and monies with the idea that "They" have figured out what God wants us to do!
The Catholic Church did everything possible to keep these collections of books, (Bible) out of hands of regular people. It was a matter of control for power and monies.
But in time, with the printing press, the Bible started becoming available to everyone. But it Didnāt matter much because most people couldnāt read.
Flash forward hundreds of years when schools are organized and we get to a point where most people can read.
By this time there are thousands of Christians Sects and major Christian religions. Each with a different story on what it takes to be saved and LIVE FOREVER. The Watchtower was one of many, but with a different twist.
But it wasnāt until the 1990s that the Internet took off and allowed people to share their knowledge with one another and Start exposing ALL Christian Religions for what they really are. ā¦..Human Interpretations of what GOD Demands based on ancient stories by people we never met.
And here we are now, at a point where every succeeding generation is learning the truth, that Religious Stories are just thatā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦..Stories! It was human attempts to explain why were are here, whatās our purpose, and You can live forever!
In our case, Most Jehovah Witnesses are now waking up at an early age. Thanks to the Internet where Knowledge is abundant and Religions like the Watchtower canāt Hide their Hypocrisy and evil intents.
The Watchtower is dying. In another 100 years there will be so much knowledge about the Bible being what it actually is, just a collections of Human Stories. And all the generations of people that hold the Bible as the word of God will finally be Gone.
The world will be a better place. There wonāt be any more victims who will be trapped at an early age to slave for a group of religious men, that promise the slaves Everlasting Life, if you donate your LIFE to their cause.
The thing that really makes it bad for people who are captured by the Watchtower in their youth is that our life span is too short. Iāve had adults tell me that you really donāt get smart until you hit your 50s. But by then you lose all your energy and health you had at 18.
So you may be 60-70-80 or 90 but still feel like youāre only 18ā¦ā¦...until you look in the mirror.
THE TRAGEDY OF OLD AGE IS NOT THAT ONE IS OLDā¦ā¦ā¦.BUT THAT ONE IS YOUNG!

Big Local Case, Sexual Abuse by former Elder, Police Raided the Kingdom Hall ! Kent, U.K !
by Phizzy inthe police have started an investigation where a woman has courageously come forward about her sexual abuse by a former elder, who had a record of doing such things with the local congregation, and i think it was all covered up.
they have charged him, he is claiming he is not mentally fit to appear in court, i hope that lie does not hold up !.
this case was unknown to the local elders, but hopefully will now give the strength for other women, who were all very young and very vulnerable at the time , to come forward as well.

Every Sunday I look up what new movies will be streaming this coming week.
Also what Elder has been caught this week for Child sexual abuse.
There always seems to be at least ONE good movie and ONE Freaking Elder getting caught in some kingdom hall for trying to "Straighten out some young Girl in the privacy of his home"
