24Clearing Things Up
by mindfield inno, this isn't another childish photoshop prank.. in the past day(s), probably many of you have noticed the facility that i had to lash out unnecessarily at other people.
i've insulted people who came to support me, i've embarassed myself, gone into arguments that i couldn't win, made a pretty flagrant face-about, and generally, made an ass of myself.
and for that i'm sorry.. to tell the truth, the last day (s) has/ve been a nightmare of sorts.

Do a search for "ball lightning" on the net and you will probably find your answer. This is not alien ufo crap but a natural phenominon that you were fortunate to witness. Bascially it is believed that under the right circumstances, an electrical charge can create a plasma ball that can exist for short periods of time. There are myraids of testimonials from people who see this but get freaked out because little is known about it. Let me know if the descriptions you find match your experience.

i was pointing out the fact that we were taught that only those who follow the watchtower would survive the end.
he told me that there is now a small period of time at the end that those who were not jw could be 'pardoned'.

He told me that there is now a small period of time at the end that those who were not JW could be 'pardoned'. He quoted a scripture from Matthew, maybe chapter 13 but I dont remember exactly. I asked if this was in a Watchtower and he said yes but I was unaware of any change in this matter, though I would not be surprised. ?????

by OUTLAW indubs are always looking for an angle to make money.their probably no worse than anybody else,but they do like to preach against materialism while chasing the illusive dollar.alot of times its some form of pyramid scheme.amway for one,or the triple charge system(owned and operated by some dubs from califonia)then theres the out and out pyramid scheme.you bring in people who give the pyramid $500.00,after bringing in so many people the guy at the top get`s a $17,000.00 payout,and is free to start again at the bottem of the pyramid.i`ve known a few dubs who have collected their 17grand.the pyramid eventually burns out,and the people at the bottem are left holding the bag(no payout).they lose the money they couldn`t afford to spend to begin with.there are some dubs though,that make a good living at this.what are some of the get rich schemes you`ve witnessed(pun intended)in dubland?...outlaw

In the late '70's my Dad went in with another brother marketing "Hydropots". They were plant pots that had a water reservouir in the bottom so you did not have to water plants for weeks. It was the newest technologhy that was about to revolutionize the world of house plants and make us rich in mere weeks...
It of course turned out badly with the other brother "screwing" my father. Likely they were trying to "screw" each other. Regardless, there were bad feelings that lasted a long time. This always seemed to happen when the bros did buisiness, despite all those articles with the rules on doing buisiness with your "brother".
BTW I dont see those pots around anywhere...

GB has dealt treacherously with Younger Anointed!
by IslandWoman inthe younger anointed (those who came in after 1935) in the organization are treated by the gb as both a whore and a beloved wife.. the whore: for years they have published articles whose intent was to denigrate the younger anointed.
as a result many of these younger anointed ones have had to fight a spiritual uphill battle with their elders and circuit overseers because the watchtower paints them as falsely claiming spiritual union with the christ.. .
the beloved wife: yet, it is from this group of younger anointed that the gb has picked 5 members of the governing body!!

Corrupt congregations

Grunt is right basically. However I moved from a good congregation full of decent people to one that I would consider corrupt. In retrospect maybe it was the other way around. Regardless, the new congregation was full of two faced youth, strange elders, and no JW "unity" (compared to what I believed to be unity).
The differance between the two halls was that in the first, I think most of the brothers/sisters actually tried to practice what they preached. In the second it was all an act, with obvious corruption in the elder body.
BTW the reason we moved was so my dad could become an elder again since cong #1 knew him too well and would not give him privilages.
It worked out for me since it was easier to slip away from the new cong where no one really knew me or cared that I was leaving.
