  When You Hear Someone Say "The Truth"...

  when a witness talks about a person not being "in the truth", does that get to you?

  or if they self-righteously proclaim that "at least, they're in the truth and not worldly", does that push any buttons?

  i just received this e-mail again, to an e-mail address that i rarely use.

  it's fairly obvious to me that this is a huge scam, but i have to wonder how many people have fallen for it.

  it must be working for this thing to still be in circulation...... love, scully.

  Spirituality

  many xjws and others i have encountered in my journey express disdain for religion but they instead refer to having found a spirituality.

  do you mean that instead of seeking fulfillment from life that you have made an inward journey to self discovery?

  or do you mean that you have found god by journeying outward?.

  my hubby has been doing photo assignments for the local newspaper.

  two weeks ago, i got a call from a jw wanting a copy of photo he had taken.

  it had some of her family members in it.. the phone call was strange, she didn't identify herself but we have caller id, so i knew who it was.

  Reminds me of the pickup-truck I bought from an elder and his son. A week after I bought it, I had to rebuild the motor and the transmission. I was assured that it was in good running condition. Not too long after, the elder died. I let it slide.

  Downloading MP3 Music - Is that wrong?

  how easy it is to download mp3 music on the internet.

  with kazaa, or other sites, it becomes child play.

  do you feel that it's right or wrong for a person to do that?

  I look for sounds I haven't heard before that I like on KaaZaa. If I like the music, I go buy the cd. I also download music that I can't find at the stores.

  the temperature outside the house hovers around freezing while inside i wear only boxers and a tee-shirt.

  *so what* if i get a little chilly!!???

  i'll just turn up the thermostat or get one of several blankets.. when i'm thirsty, i can go to my kitchen sink and get a glass of clear, drinkable water straight from the tap... a luxury in many places in this world.

  New to board-1st post

  my last attempts at posting were to no avail so i'm just going to test this out first and they edit and post something else.-it worked.. i have been reading a lot of the material on this website and find most of it interesting.

  i'm still a witness but have some questions about bible/doctrine that haven't been answered to my satisfaction.

  it seems that when i discuss things with people (i.e witness elders) they more or less don't listen to my arguements.
