...and what's with "memorial" tombs in the NWT? Is there an extra greek word in the translations that the WTS found and none of the other translators could find? It just shows the doctrinal slant the WTS puts on the scriptures. Something about adding words to the bible that just isn't right. Or am I wrong? Is there a word for "memorial" in the old texts?

in compliance with the scriptures, however, members can be expelled for serious unchristian conduct, such as stealing, drunkenness, or adultery, if they do not repent and cease such actions.
Jehovah confirmed that he was dealing through Moses and Aaron, not through these religious rebels.
The WTS just loves to compare itself to the authority bestowed upon characters in the bible. How they make that stretch is beyond me.

talking to my cousin just now, she has been inactive for years.... she told me she just started going back to the meetings, hard!!!
i asked her a one-word question--"why?".
she immediately flipped out on me, and said because she doesn't want to be responsible for her children's death at armageddon (of course).

Now I know how my wife felt when I became a JW. None of what your cousin said deals with truth, reason, honesty, etc. You're right, the brainwashing is hard to get past. I hope she stays in contact with you.
It's tough situation because she might have a breakdown just learning the truth about the WTS. Her trust, hope, dreams might be shattered. I hope she's strong enough to learn that the WTS is a fraud. My thoughts and vibes are with you.

sounds like a JW who hasn't "widened out" with her association. Maybe she missed the WT article on race relations. Come to think of it, is there any pics in the WT rags that shows an interracial family?
