Our Puppy did not make it.

well after going to bed early for it has been a long day i was awaken by my fourteen year old and she was crying for the vet just called and the puppy i got them two weeks ago just died.

the breeder was at an expo at city hall and they all gave me those "mom i am going to die if i don't have her" looks till i forked over money i did not have for this lil baby beagle.

we brought her home and i thought my she must be so tired for she slept a lot the first day.

It's so sad, they are part of the family. Has your breeder offer you another one? If that's the route you want, then go for it. After crying and grieving, I would demand my money back (I see these people on Judge Judy all the time who are suing the breeder for their lost beloved pet who was sick when they bought it) and then go to the local shelter and get a new little friend who's just dying to have a new home. Again, my condolences to you. I have a golden and if I lost her I would be a basket case.

for the past 3 seasons, i have faithfully watching this sunday night drama and last season was a yawner.

extremely boring compared to first season.

I've gone a week without smoking!

well done linda, i started taking zyban 3 days ago.

you take it for 2 weeks before giving up, although already i noticed i am smoking less and keep putting cigarette down and forgetting i was smoking.

it's very bizarre.

Love bombed in the JW's and the Boston Church of Christ. The BCC was worse about it than the JW's. Read about their abuses on-line. It'll make the JW's seem like a Sunday picnic!

My sister is getting married on Saturday (dub wedding)

the wedding has arrived, i've been maintaining a stance of not attending, but this last week had a slight change of heart and thought i might attend afterall.

i thought it would be a good chance to hold my head up and show i've got a life.

after some further thought and talking to my sister, i've decided to not attend.

I used to get my feelings hurt about not being invited to certain things. I remember right before I left the JW's, my best friend in the JW's met a guy and well you know those whirlwind romances and let's-get-married-so-we-won't-get-disfellowshipped sorts, she and the fellow (nice guy btw) decide to get married in a small ceremony at a pioneer sister's house. I was so excited for her, she was planning showers, etc. Then I asked her about the wedding; she told me it was just a family affair. I later learned other JW's attended the ceremony. That was it for her with me. After she got back from the honeymoon, I told her off, I mean really really really told her off and she was so cold about it. I realized I was a fair weathered friend in her book and nothing more, 16 years later I have never spoken to her family (large JW family).

does anyone who was raised a jw and is now df'd of da'd celebrate all the holidays?

i do, and for the first time in my entire life i'm actually having a blast and so are my children.

at least my youngest child doesn't have to suffer the segregation all jw children surrender to due to the freakin' mind controlling gb and all there so called "god channeled" rules..
