  So if "parents are to blame for children leaving the truth", then STEP DOWN GB!

  if to mo's comments in the talk re "parents are to blame for children not being in the truth etc", (and yes, as many have already very nicely pointed out that this must therefore imply that "jehovah is to blame for satan and the angels rebelling"), doesn't this mean then that members of the gb need to step down?.

  haven't some of the gb got family that are not "in the truth"?.

  hypocrites yet again!.

  i'm not sure if it has been commented on yet or not, as i just got in from the gag fest.. the entire meeting can be summed up with blah blah blah we're doing great!

  blah blah blah your financial support will be blessed!

  blah blah blah...and now for the closer we hear from "tight pants" tony.. tight pants...evil!

  Tight pants...evil! Don't jog in spanx (WTF) maybe spandex? Socks! Brothers wearing socks that I don't like!

  My lord is that guy THAT insane that he has to yammer on for over half an hour bitching about socks, and jogging attire? And throwing in every now and then that it isn't him we need to worry about but Jehovah? I am sure God has more important things to worry about than the friggin socks I wear. Like maybe smiting a few babies?

  Personally I took "offense" at his purple pocket square. And who heard of polka dot ties with striped shirts?

  i have words that irritate me and not always without reason.. my latest hate is the word: 'solutions' as used by so many businesses in their title these days.

  y'know, 'something innane business solutions' and such balderdash.. i loathe that word now.

  Meeting for not paying assembly fees???!!!!

  hey folks......has anyone else heard of, or experienced this before?.

  i visited by parents over the weekend and accompanied them to their assembly....same rubbish spoken about since ive been born....obey the gb, donate your last penny, no education and be a pushover.. anyways, our assembly hall has lush vegetation and scenery, so i was more focused on that....i started dozing off after lunch, so got up and went walking, saw some older folks from the congregation i grew up with.. upon the conclusion of the assembly, wed normally leave out right after the prayer ends so as to avoid the traffic.

  however, for this assembly he told me that hes gonna be a few minutes with the elders and branch representatives...so a few minutes turned into an hour..

  Martin Roll the CEO of Venture Capital wrote this in 2004 about corporate branding (think jw.org), "Today, there is a general requirement for high level of investments to maintain efficient production capabilities and scale in many industries..."

  As the WTB&T$ is nothing more than a publishing corporation/industry I would believe that a very large percentage of the money being confiscated in the name of "voluntary" donations is being funneled into the corporate re-branding of the WT. Mr. Roll also wrote a very informative article titled Part II: Ten Steps for Successful Corporate Branding. WTB&T$$ is following it pretty much to a "T".

  so i am being hounded by the elders who are staring to get suspicious about our "slackening off in the truth".

  rather than being railroaded or pushed into a defensive or argumentative situation, i am keeping the following comment up my sleeve:.

  I found another couple, IMO, excellent statements/questions to use when they start their hounding.

  First I say, "Let's look at the Bible, and see what is written there about what you are saying." Usually they will decline, as they do not want to get into any kind of debate they will likely lose. When they decline I ask them, "Don't you respect what the Bible says?" If they answer "Yes', then I continue using the Bible to refute their intrusion into my business. If they say "No" they have effectivcely denied their own beliefs, and I tell them so.

  if you haven't yet read it...please do so..... it is so ridiculous!

  so leading, so distorted, and full of "bait and switch" techniques.. "prove you have the truth"..by seeing how neutral witnesses were in war times?

  Good point. I would add that IF in fact 1% (the figure from 1992) being expelled is relatively few, then it would follow that the roughly 1% being baptized is only relatively few who are joining the cult. If on the other hand as the GB proudly proclaim, that MANY are coming to da troof, then it follows that the same !% being expelled is MANY. Just my two cents.
