If you go to this site http://www.jwfiles.com/mexico.htm, you will find a copy of my cartilla. The Mexican government never issued cartillas in English because they are for Mexican nationals only. I can translate for you any wording you are looking for.

by Sarah inplease tell me i made the right decision.
last night the co and another elder showed up at our house just 5 minutes after my husband got home from work (i think they were sitting on the side of the road just waiting for him to come home)*stalkers*, anyway to make along story short, the pressure was on.

Dearest Sarah and husband,
I feel for you both and empathize with your experience. Having been through this emotional pain myself I have one tip to give you. In my most intense pain I realized these monsters have no more power than what you give them. Take all your power back from these cruel taskmasters and from your family. Decide never to let anyone power over your will and self determination. I have an article that I wrote some time back on the recovery process that may help you. The url is http://www.jwfiles.com/recovery.htmYou both are in my prayers.

GB Split Over Bible vs. Policy
by Maximus inplease read the following brief paragraph carefully: .
"once again, the ruling ecclesiastical class suppressed efforts to make gods word available to their flock.
they violently silenced a voice that pointed to some of the errors of their non-biblical beliefs.

<This statement is too simplistic and it is inaccurate. The author may not have been talking to insiders who know, or perhaps they have misinterpreted, or are speaking in generalities. Service has been highly influential organizationally but is not responsible for writing the Watchtower, although clearly Writing took a huge swipe at that department with this article. BTW With the changes in Service and the institution of the Branch committee, isn't Writing now handling Our Kingdom Ministry, previously the organ of Service>
You are correct that was an over generalization. While there are many factors that ultimately influence what information gets printed, I have been told by my sources that the service department has a strong influence and that their paradigm is one of intolerance. One other factor is that statement is very dated as in early 1990. I am sure since then many changes have taken place.

It has been known for years among different insider circles that there are two factions in the tower. One is the militant hardliner service department boys that are responsible for the hard-line articles in the Watchtower and one of moderates that write in the Awake.
There is no question that the tower is in dissonance, much like a psychotic mother that speaks out of both ends of her mouth giving mixed messages. Out of one end she delivers love and tenderness and out of the other punitive harsh judgments. This type of phenomena creates children who are twisted. Does this help explain in part why JWs are twisted? Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm????

What does the WTBTS have to gain?
by aud8 ini have a question:.
if the wtbts is so into deceiving everyone and trying to reel in as many newcomers as possible, what does it actually have to gain from this?
why are they always trying to switch teachings to make themselves look "believable"?

Asembly security questions
by Skimmer ini've been reading the comments on the recent district assemblies and i've got some questions about the wtbts convention security teams.. 1) is it a given that anyone who tries to get in without a convention badge is going to be carefully scrutinized?
questioned?
tailed?.

Way back when, I worked in security at districts assemblies, we would identify any persons we needed to tail. We looked for unusual dress, hair style, roamers that would hit on women, video equipment, anyone without literature. We always worked in twos in the event there would be an altercation and in the event we would need to file a report with the police, one would be a witness to the event.
If you worked in security you were given a colored dot to put on your badge and the person you reported to had to personally know you. We were bouncers to escort all the speakers around.

It's simple, use the rule of compounding. Researchers tell us that you are only six people away from meeting anyone in the world, why? We have a circle of influence of 250 people. Those 250 people know 250 people that know 250 people, yada yada yada yada. This is why pyramid schemes and their cousins multilevel sales are so effective one you have an army of motivated people. Do you know how they determined the number of people in our warm circle? Funeralas and weddings.
So the flip side of the JWs are the millions of former JWs that can bring the tower down through advertising advertising advertising the religious scamers and the scam.

The year is circa 1989 in San Antonio Texas, our congregation is doing a quick build. This experience would change my life and the life of two other families in our area. I was one of the department heads of this project and what I saw and experienced left me seeing reality for what it was and not what I had been told it was.
During the foundation phase I saw pettiness incompetence and egos clash in the “spiritual paradise”. The first day of construction was uneventful there were the crowds of single people cruising looking to score, all the hard worker bees, all the goof offs, all the spectators. The second day a teenage girl went to her car, as she was backing up she crushed a five year old into another car and killed her. Bethel was called at once, and a lawyer was dispatched to the scene with cash.
The third day the mood was somber; people could not believe what had happened. This shock turned into social denial. In coming days it was as if nothing had happened. The parents of the child that was killed went into a severe depression as you might imagine. The family of the killer was covertly ostracized so much, that they had to move to another city. A year goes by and the father of the girl comes to see me as a pro bono client because he was unemployed, still depressed and broke financially, they had spent the money from the cash settlement he had received from Bethel.
About six months after the building a guy from Bethel named Dixon was sent to do the grand opening ceremony. The hall was very beautiful it was state of the art and the decorations used made many call it the Taj Mahal.
Having inside info into the strategy of the society, the lawyer was dispatched to pay off the family and to get a judgment proof insulation in case the family became apostates and decided to sue. While I can’t disclose other details in a public forum such as this I can tell you it was pennies this father got for the negligence of parking attendants that led to the loss of his little girl and years of grief.
This experience showed me the ugliness and pettiness in people when they worked on a large project such as this. The illusion of a spiritual paradise was just that a fantasy created with semantics. It also showed me the greedy self-serving attitude of the Watchtower; this experience was just one more reason for me to df the Watchtower.

Social Denial

The year is circa 1994; I go to my driveway to pick up the Sunday paper to read. On the front page is the story of a serious car accident. One person was killed he was a passenger in one of two cars that were racing; he got decapitated as a cable cut through the windshield of one of the cars. Both cars were driven by adolescent JWs, as you might imagine there were all the dirty legal, ethical and medical issues to contend with since it was on the cover of the paper of America’s tenth largest city. The driver of one of the cars was in critical condition and he was going to have one leg amputated at the knee.
All these people in this real life drama attended my hall; I was an ms there. I was assigned as the assistant to the assistant of the magazine counter. As time wore on I could see the unresolved grief and pain in the mother of the boy that lost his life. She would go to meetings and put on a plastic smile and so would everyone else. This is a typical scenario of social denial of a real imaginary thing that never happened. I could no longer sit back and play this denial game. I talked to the presiding elder and told him I was qualified to help both families to deal with the trauma ( this was pro bono) that was never resolved and I gave him some literature to read. He politely tells me he will read it and talk to the committee of elders that dfed the boy that got his leg amputated.
As one week turns into three weeks of not hearing anything, one day I ask the presiding elder if they had decided anything? He politely tells me they did and they decided against telling either of the families of my proposal. That was the start of the end for me.
A year later the boy amputated calls me through a friend and asks me if I will work with him to remove the trauma of killing his best friend. I agree to under certain conditions, I told him he had to attend a support group of near death survivors I was speaking to at a local hospital, which he did. There he heard me say things that totally mismatched his JW beliefs. I never heard from him again. -

This is one example of social denial, this is the same phenomena that occurs in a real abusive family environment. The family members just pretend that it is not happening and they construct another reality.
I have seen and dealt with many situations where the congregation acted like a highly dysfunctional family, playing out patterns of denail and repression, in times of shock.
Things that should not happen in their "spiritual paradise" are just denied so much so that if the victim speaks out, the victim is victimized by those in power, much like a tyrnanical alcoholic with his family.
The stories I could tell you of abuse in the "spiritual paradise"
