  "a friend of a friend" applied to go to an international convention this year.. they have not heard anything about whether they were accepted or not.. but recently, they received this e-mail:.

  brother xxxxx:.

  according to our records, you applied and were approved by your body of elders to be a delegate to international conventions outside of the united states, but were not selected.

  I loved the judging that I got to give people who went to the KH with me. Depending on what you wore or how you did your hair, depending on your parts or service time, depending on your studying habits I got to judge you. I was so good at critically labeling people. I miss that.

  the bible and its prophecies

  i have been doing a lot of research on the bible and its roots so to speak and its becoming clearer that the jews like other races took gods and stories from others and made them their own.

  its also become clear that many of the books were written later then stated, like daniel probably written about a hundred years before christ and some of it maybe even after.

  but what i don't get is the prophecies.

  my dad was not a witness and was my rock when i left the religion.

  Agree with other posters. She is too old to change. Just assure you are not doing the things she is afraiud of and then ask about her or tell a funny story from the past couple days in your house.

  When do Auxilliary CO's go out in field service?

  i moved into this new cong for over two years now.

  we have this younger couple that are part time co's.

  i know that they would be busy serving a cong when they are asked to do so, but that is not too often.

  saw a couple JW guys at a table today on a college campus. Just sitting and chatting while people ignored them. Nice two or three hours.

  i had a bunch of tiny little nags that always bothered me about the bible/god/etc.

  that eventually led to me drifting away, but this was my personal, singular issue that no one could address.

  Alonein321 I think like you! I love your logic. I've thought the same things before. I like the issue of free will.

  I love you, I want you to love me on your own because you want to.

  So I give you free will so that you can choose to love me on your own.

  But, if you don't do what I want with your free will, I will kill.

  i keep hoping and doing searches on the site for people in my area.

  so far no one i recognize.

  i have a few df'd friends that i lost touch with long before they were out (two who were elders actually when they got the boot) and would love to find out they were on here, but don't know if they plan on coming back.

  I have! It was a great feeling. I recognized an old friend from a while back when we were talking. He was an elder. He found the TTATT before me. But I'm very happy to join him.

  Is this still their view about "Those resurrected"?

  do the jw's still teach that those resurrected will not marry and be without a sex?

  Yes that's the same teaching. Makes no sense. Dumb. According to JWs the angels DID want sex and came to earth to get it. So there goes that plan.
