  Newbies! The Deception:An Example

  yesterday, in this thread http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=9805&site=3 i spouted these words: happened to drag rays book, isocf from its hidding place in my car....at lunch time today.. i opened to any page, i needed to brighten my day like no other j-dub borg book, could ever do.. .

  i found a deception for the many newbies, trolls and plants that have been visiting us here in spiritual paradise, aka:simons board .

  i cant post it till tommorow, because i cant bring that book into the house while the j-dub wife is trolling around.

  I just skimmed your rather long post and thank you for it even though I didn't read it thorougly.

  So If a person does't decern the body and partakes he is guilty.

  Can the body be two things?

  1) the body that Jesus sacrificed.

  2)And the body of Annointed Christians of which Christ is the head.

  So if a person were to hate or not love his brother he would not be decerning both.

  Ecourage You Know to try for G.B membership!

  if you were to encourage you know to present himself to the governing body for membership there in.. what would you say to swell up his head?.

  even if they were lies about his abilities, i think he would beleive it because he is very very haughty.. a haughty person is easy to fool especially if you appeal to there ego, so what would you say to him to get him to committ a kind of jw hari kari by seeking to recommend his own self to the gb.. i bet it won't take much to get him started down that road.. any got some lines to feed you know?.

  Do any of you guys think You Know could be a member of the Governing Body?

  I mean he so smart!

  I think we should look real close at his posts around Wednesdays and see if they could give away whether he is or not.

  After all the GB meet on wednesdays don't they.

  Maybe he trying out stuff on us to see what will work?

  Stumbling

  i heard it until i was sick of it, this constant litany about refraining from this or that behavior, or activity, or opinion because it might, it just might, stumble someone.. well, damnit, how many people were stumbled right out of the wtb&ts just because of their behaviors?.

  how 'bout those of us who were stumbled out because of a low tolerance for hypocrisy?.

  Don't tell anybody but I'm D_wiltshire. When I'm at work I use this handle because I have a different internet service.

  Their lies nobody likes being lied to to get you to work for them for free.

  I will try to do what ever I see fit to expose them, I have no hate for the people of JWs but just want to expose the lies that keep people under their mind control. Let them do what they want after the get out of mind control, that is a freedom that everybody deserves. I hope that after anyone comes out they go to Jesus, but that their own personal choice not mine or anyone elses. They should at least be free from dishonest men's control over their thinking to make their own choice.

  I think your attacks on AF are not revelent to the debate and show how desperate you are.

  What you can't refute with facts that show logically the truth, so you attack the man.

  Now If AF was saying he was God's channel then I'd say an attack on the man would be fair and appropriate, but that is not the issue here.

  So please keep this in mind.

  HELP! - I'm Torn

  there's no doubt that in many religious philosophies, believers are advised not to fight with evil; not to resist.

  jesus certainly advised his followers not to "resist evil.".

  and that's why i'm torn.. i believe, as do most of you here, that the watchtower bible & tract society is evil; a manifest, clear, present, and palpable evil.

  How do you pronouce your handle?

  As to the Scripture about resisting evil.

  I think it means a purely personal type of revenge.

  We can easily get caught up in our own thinking and blow things way out of proportions when we get to selfcentered.

  I don't feel that we can take Jesus words and use them to say we shouldn't fight evil in the absolute sense.

  Because look at his own life and what he did, he faught evil, so we have to keep that in mind when we read his words and not try to give it an absolute sense meaning.

  Just like when people say they have unconditional Love they usually don't mean it in the absolute sense( that would be imposible).

  Or when the Bible say abstain from fleshly desires it does mean we should abstain from eating, getting sleep, and having sex with our husband or wife.

  I didn't read all the other post but I read all of yours so please forgive me if I duplicated anybody's answer.

  jesus further related in the 15th chapter of john: "nevertheless, i have spoken these things to you that, when the hour for them arrives, you may remember i told them to you.

  these things, however, i did not tell you at first, because i was with you.

  so, the point is that jesus has not told his anointed ones certain things yet because the hour for them has not arrived.

  So whats your point you quoted Scriture but gave no application.

  The Pope quotes Scripture so what, give us application.

  Show us all how and why the Scritures you quoted aply to AF.

  Don't be general nail you pionts solidly, if you even can?

  plenty of yk bible 'insights'........of course none of which would be supported with references to wts publications.the wts would reject all that stuff and df you if you tried spreading it in your community.. .

  after all the wts said in the 1.8.01 wt page 14.... he does not advocate or insist on personal opinions or harbor private ideas when it comes to bible understanding.. .
